Décorée de nombreuses antiquités, cette maison est adossée au refuge national de faune de Bon Secour pour offrir un endroit confortable et privé pour se détendre après une journée sur la plage. La maison de 2900 pieds carrés offre trois étages, quatre chambres et trois salles de bain complètes. De plus, vous trouverez un grand salon / salle à manger, un porche grillagé, un nid de pie et un garage pratique pour une voiture et une voiturette de golf.

En bas, vous trouverez un salon spacieux avec TV / DVD 60 "et de nombreux sièges. Le salon est ouvert sur la salle à manger et la cuisine entièrement équipée avec comptoirs en granit et comptoir à petit-déjeuner, réfrigérateur, micro-ondes, machine à expresso Gaggia et moulin à café, lave-vaisselle et buanderie avec laveuse et sécheuse pleine grandeur. Juste à côté du salon et de la salle à manger se trouve un grand porche arrière blindé avec de nombreux sièges à l'extérieur où vous pourrez profiter du bruit des vagues.

En bas se trouve également une suite parentale avec un coin salon confortable, une grande télévision, un placard généreux et une salle de bain principale avec une grande baignoire de jardin, une douche vitrée séparée, une double vasque et une commode séparée. De l'autre côté du foyer se trouve une chambre d'amis avec un lit queen size et une télévision et une salle de bain complète adjacente. Alors que la salle de bain est séparée de la chambre, le couloir peut être fermé par une porte pour créer l'intimité et l'ambiance d'une 2ème chambre principale.

A l'étage, vous découvrirez deux chambres d'hôtes et une salle de bain complète. Quelques marches supplémentaires mènent au nid de corbeau meublé avec vue panoramique sur le magnifique golfe du Mexique. Le nid de corbeau comprend des portes-fenêtres s'ouvrant sur une terrasse avec une vue magnifique sur le golfe du Mexique. Les autres caractéristiques comprennent des plafonds de 24 pieds dans le salon et la salle à manger, des plafonds de 10 pieds dans tous les autres espaces de vie en bas, des ventilateurs de plafond, le chauffage central et la climatisation, une connexion Wi-Fi et de nombreux espaces de stockage.

Great Location & Very Relaxing

Great house for a family trip.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Big house, tons of space and storage. Backs up to the wildlife preserve for a great view. Easy walk to both pools and boardwalks. The only downside was that the kitchen maybe didn’t have quite enough servewarw/utensils. But otherwise, 5 stars.

A Great Week

Our first Stay at the Elephant Walk and love the remodel that was completed on the house, it was Absolutely perfect for our group of 10. I recommend this house for anyone wanting a relaxing week and great proximity to the beach. We will difinitely consider staying at this property again

Great house and location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay in the neighborhood, but it's a little far from restaurants. The house was perfect for our group of 11 (we loved the large table for us to all eat at together) and close to the beach. It would have been easier if they would have let us have 2 golf carts. The kitchen was well stocked, but some of the utensils are getting old and broken.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay overall this is the 4th time we have rented in Martinique on the gulf within the last 20 years. Great place for families. This particular house may need some attention. The golf cart doesn’t hold a charge consistently on low The toaster and iron were broken and the kitchen was in a disarray. The balcony outside the crow’s nest needs reinforcing and new cushions for furniture. All easy fixes just maybe need someone to go through house between renters.

Lovely Family Vacation House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Elephant Walk has been nicely renovated. The style was a bright & airy vibe. We enjoyed the house and found it roomy for our family. It can be hard to find at least two rooms with King Beds and we greatly appreciated having both downstairs. The location was nice and quiet for porch early morning reading but convenient enough to walk to beach/pool. Just an FYI the golf cart battery indicator seems to be off. It showed 1/2 way mark and the golf cart died and was pushed back and charged. We noticed when it start acting slow (despite the reading) we would charge it to ensure we didn't get a surprise breakdown.

I wish they could have worked with us for parking. Had three cars which house had two limited. We parked off grounds where it was recommended by management. My son was very concern of his trucks safety. When it was time to leave a security person told us we couldn’t park in front. There was plenty parking spaces throughout the property. We paid for all three cars. I feel management could have worked with us. Especially when leaving and packing cars. We had a very pleasant experience other than parking situation.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall good experience - the house was great for our group, very spacious, bedroom situations worked well. We had difficulty accessing the Wifi (we had several in our group working remote/completing school work online) because we were given an incorrect password / eventually received the correct password after using personal hotspot all of Day 1. We also realized the golf cart had a battery issue after charging all night, it was barely above "E". We emailed regarding the golf cart & were told maintenance would come check. We never saw or heard from maintenance & the cart died on us two times having to be pushed back to the house (once by two ladies & once as a storm came upon us rather quickly). I notice the golf cart battery was mentioned in at least one of the reviews on your website. The 5pm arrival & 9am departure were nothing we had experienced @ any other beach rental, but we made it work. We actually received an email around 2pm on our arrival day that the home was ready (no one stayed prior to us), but living 3 hours away it wasn't helpful. Again, we love Martinique & really enjoyed Elephant Walk. We enjoyed being with our friends who are Martinique owners - but the short "Pre-4th" vacation was not without issue.

Better Than Expected!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family group of 10 selected this house since it was one of the few houses that have king and queen beds in 4 of the 5 bedrooms. There were 3 couples in our group, so we did not want a house with lots of twin beds. The photos of the home depict a rather "dark and unusual" décor. So, it was a pleasant surprise to find that there have been upgrades to the layout, furniture and décor that are not depicted in the photos. The home is now much brighter and more modern. It is spacious and provided ample room for our group. However, there are some things that would have made our stay even more pleasant which is why I deducted 1 star from my rating: 1) There were not nearly enough towels for a 5-bedroom/3-bath house. We stayed 3 nights and had to purchase additional towels in order for everyone to have fresh towels to shower with. This was not my first stay at Martinique, but it was the first time that the towels/linens were not sufficient. 2) Not enough trash bags, paper towels, or bathroom tissue. Again, a home of this size that accommodates the # of people that it does should be stocked with more than 1 roll of paper towels for the entire house, 1 roll of tissue per bathroom, and 1 kitchen garbage bag. After paying for my reservation I should not have had to stock the house with essential supplies. 3) Kitchen light switch was very tricky. Each time we thought we had figured out the proper switch to use, the next time we tried to use it the lights would not come on. There seemed to be too many 4-way switch panels that do not work properly. Overall, we had a great stay at this beautiful property.

Needs some Love

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Martinique several times over the last 10yrs and never had any complaints. This home needs love--screen door rotten and falling apart A/C unit in master water running into floor, no dish clothes to wash dishes and not enough towels for 12 people to take showers, furniture downstairs worn out. I feel think for 3500.00 these things should not occur. We love Martinique but this house is not up to Martinique standards.

Martinique seems to be losing its edge over other resorts!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was VERY dirty which is so concerning during covid times. Paying $5000 for the house and almost $300 for a cleaning fee, you expect much better. All rugs appeared not to have been vacuumed. A dog bone treat was under the dining table. Hair balls in multiple locations. Upstairs commode was nasty around the bottom and long dark hairs were on and in the bathtub. The furniture was not comfortable and in bad shape. Our 4 bedroom house driveway was not really big enough for two vehicles. Could not park the golf cart in the edge of the yard as in previous years, so had to move either a car or golf cart every time you needed to use one or the other. Parked it in the edge of the yard one time for about 2 hours and received a written parking notice, although I watched the guard pass another cart parked in the yard and he did not give them one. Not sure why they were not consistent with everyone about this. We have been staying at Martinique for years, but it seems to be losing the qualities that brought us back every year.

We do apologize about the issues you had during your beach vacation. We will discuss the cleanliness issues with our housekeeping supervisor. All parking rules are decided and governed by the homeowners association. This house only allows up to 2 vehicles due to the size of the driveway. We are so sorry.

Stay at Elephant Walk

Reviewer Comments: We were disappointed with the condition of the house upon arriving. Old food crumbs were in the drawers of the cabinets which made us suspect the cleanliness of the dishes. We ended up washing and cleaning dishes and drawers ourselves. There was old detergent build up and lint in the washer and dryer. We cleaned this up as well. The kitchen garbage can had a broken bottom. Lightbulbs throughout the house were blown and needed to be replaced. Remote controls for fans/tv’s didn’t work because they needed new batteries. There was a broken deck chair on the balcony which should have been replaced or at least thrown away. There was a broken leg on the ottoman bench in a bedroom. Linens on the beds were thin and not good quality. There was not adequate blankets for the beds either. Towels and washcloths were good quality. The doorknob to the screened porch was broken. The back door going outside on the screened porch was rotted and falling off the hinge. We would have loved to have been able to sit on the screened porch but all the cushions were molded and mildewed. The door to the mailbox was broken off and put inside the mailbox. There was a broken birdbath in the yard as well as other broken pottery pieces. Not sure if this was part of the decor but it made the house look junky. The AC unit made loud noises above the master bedroom which sounded like doors or valves opening and closing. This occurred all night long. This house needs an update and some TLC. We expected a lot better quality in the house considering the cost of the rental.

A fantastic getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was perfect for us and our 4 adult children! Great location and the house was well laid out. The golf cart made getting to the beach so easy and even without the beach is only 400 steps away from the front door! We will be back. The only downside we had was the trash can provided outside was full when we arrived. With 8 adults we had quite a few bags that we left beside the trash can. The waste company came on Wednesday and emptied the can but did not take the bags beside it. As a result our Trash can was full once again as soon as they left.
