Rob was amazing. He helped us out with a few extras to accommodate our 2 year old son and his nap schedule. The property was spotless and in a great location. The neighborhood is perfect. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
We had a lovely stay in this home. Rob was great with communicating. We had no issues at all. Location was great. Quiet neighborhood. Would highly recommend.
My family and I had a wonderful time at Village Green in Cape May! It was cozy and we had everything we needed and then some (we appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas for use). We loved all the seaside decor and the fact that the house was within walking distance to the beach.
We needed somewhere to sta y last minute and the owner got back to me immediately and was so accomodating. The house has a lovely porch and is on a quiet street. The inside was very clean and comfortable with everything you could need. We would stay here again.
The location is really nice. Parking was easy right in front of the house. The house was cleaned well. The deck is also really great though it would have been nice to have lights because we were out all day and once home, it was too dark to use.The kitchen is nicely done. The beds in both rooms could use updating. The main bed has a too-soft sinking-in mattress. The twin beds each made noise when someone moved. The interior doors would not stay open. The dehumidifer, which we assume was necessary, would fill up really quickly. The communications with the owner were responded to very quickly. All in all, we enjoyed our visit. If the bed issues were addressed, we would stay there again (and we'd bring some sort lighting for the deck).Thank you!
Quaint, inexpensive, but definitely needs some TLC.
The property was as described, but the issues lied in the upkeep. For the price you couldnât beat it but there is definitely a lot of deferred maintenance in this house. Poorly installed flooring, chipped tile in the bathroom floor, light switch and fan did not work in the bedroom(owner provided a plug in fan), Multiple outlets didnât work, bathroom door would barely shut. All in all it was livable and made sense for the price. I would not personally stay there again.
Overall we were quite happy here. It's an older place and every place has its quirks, but you have to remember this is someone's vacation home, so they have it set up the way they like, and we liked the cozy hominess better than some bland corporate property. Check-in was easy. The owner sent us the door code and we just had to figure out how to time the locking mechanism when we went out. The few times we needed help with something, the owner was able to help us out by text and all was well. We didn't do any cooking, but the kitchen looked well stocked with all the appliances, and there's a full size fridge, and the laundry units really came in handy. It's a bit damp inside, but it's humid in the summer and by the ocean so this is expected. It was up in the 90s while we were here, and the AC worked very well, and ceiling fans in both bedrooms and living room kept us very comfortable. The outdoor shower was nice to rinse off after a day at the beach. We also made use of the owner's beach chairs which was very convenient. We didn't use the deck much for all the heat, but I sat in the shade by the front door a bit here and there to read and it was comfortable. The smart TV let us log in to our own streaming accounts to watch movies at night. It was easy to park on the street, the neighborhood felt safe and quiet, and we enjoyed taking a walk when the sun went down. We would definitely stay here again.
This was an ideal place to stay! Clean and comfortable, close to the beach, shops and a short drive to Cape May point. Quick response from host. Would definitely stay here again!
Overall our stay was okay. Great location, easy parking, and well stocked with paper essentials & cleaning supplies. Rob was also a great host, highly responsive which was helpful. Unfortunately the house wasnât the most comfortable or as clean as the current ratings suggest. The house was very humid and damp despite the air conditioning (typically normal for shore houses) but there was mold (hopefully mildew only) that was alarmingly visible on the ceiling in all rooms, especially around the air vents. My family & I live in NJ & PA and are used to this climate but had terrible allergies during our stay. The beds were super uncomfortable. The queen mattress was rather small, closer to a full. And the twin beds were on very unstable frames that made a lot of noise if you adjusted even the slightest while lying down. The futon couch was also really uncomfortable & stiff. And finally, while most of the house seemed clean enough, there were parts, like all the kitchen table chair cushions & the twin comforters that were stained and had remnants of crumbs/dust & hair. So we were very happy to have brought our own sheets & linens. I hate leaving negative reviews especially since the host was very nice, but I hope the feedback provides opportunity for improvements.
