Location of place is perfect, close to everything. Check in was easy and communication with host was easy. Overall place was clean and quaint. Biggest downer were the beds. They are horrible. The Queen in the main bedroom was sunken in the center and it was on a old bed frame that moved all over the room. I would book again only if the beds are updated.
Pros- location, parking, beach shedCons- uncomfortable bedding, noisy, poor air conditioning in master bedroom. Knew to bring sheets/towels but could have used a dish towel or paper towels as well as adequate supply of TP. Had to go out & buy both of those.
Awful beds, no pillows/sheets/towels, great location
The location was great, the house is very clean, but the host does not supply anything. You have to bring your own towels, sheets, foil, and plastic wrap, pillows, everything! The listing says that they have beach chairs and an umbrella, but things are incredibly old and falling apart, and the host said that itâs up to guests to replace things. The mattresses are old and incredibly uncomfortable, with springs poking us (on the queen). I have back and back pain from sleeping there only two nights. We also had an issue with the air conditioning (99 degrees out), and the host insisted on having someone come over between 7 to 9 PM and when he wasnât there by 9:15, I again requested her to cancel it (we had kids that needed to go to bed). She refused and he showed up at 950pm. He was nice, but the only thing he could fix was the disgustingly dirty air filters. The fact that we had to keep the kids up and he was 50min late was very frustrating, especially considering I asked her twice to cancel the call.Absolutely not worth saving money to stay here.
Property was clean, conveniently located to the central area of town. Short walk to the beach. Unit was comfortable, charming and with all the comforts of home. Wanted a private, relaxing weekend away with my girlfriend. Thatâs exactly what we got. Owner was available & attentive. We had an excellent stay.
True to the description in VRBO, the apartment in the Historic District was charmingly victorian, but with up to date appliances in the kitchen, and very spacious with living/dining/kitchen great room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The apartment is well appointed with everything we could possibly need, and very clean. Our host was very easy to contact for questions. The location on Washington Street was central to everything we wanted to do. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay in Cape May!
This apartment has alot of charm to it with the seashells and mermaids art work to the antique furniture and the claw foot tub great for soaking. Close to everything we stood for 4 days and walk to the beach downtown to the stores and for those who love walmart its about 16 min away in car overall I had a relaxing time the host was great in answering any of my question she is clear on direction and on what to bring
My 3 friends and I stayed here for a little Valentine's Day weekend trip, and had a lovely time! The apartment was very clean, cozy, well stocked with most supplied you'd need for your stay, and conveniently within walking distance of the beach, downtown, and many restaurants and shops. Even in the middle of February the town and all was very charming. The owner was very responsive and kind; thank you for having us! Would love to visit again in the warmer months.
We had a wonderful time, the apartment was cute as a picture with everything you could possibly need. We would love to come back in the warmer weather!
I loved our stay !!! Old charming house ! Stocked with everything and anything you could want or need. Full size fridge and a washer and dryer and a dish washer . Close to the Washington mall. Very clean with a perfect location
This was our second time to stay in this charming apartment. Everything you could need is in this apartment which is conveniently located just a short walk to Washington Mall. Our friends found it as welcoming as we did. The owner is quickly responsive to texts. Our only wish is that the bathroom had a conventional tub vs the claw foot which is challenging for the older adult. But we still love the place!
We loved staying in this charming apartment on Washington Street. The unit is long and narrow, built in the late 19th century with vintage decor, nicely upgraded, and clean. We enjoyed the convenient location and walking to restaurants and to the beach. We will come again!
my sister and I decided to come down in June for the chocolate and coffee festival, we found this little gem of a place to stay and we will def. be back!! the location is perfect for walking to literally everything !! you will not be disappointed !! so many little extras included in the rental ,they really did think if everything you could need for your stay!! thank you for the great service and accommodations !!
This is our fourth time vacationing in this lovely, well-appointed apartment - once as a couple, and three times with our two kids (now 14 and 11). Perfect location right next to Washington Square, steps to the grocery store, and blocks from the beach. Communication with Monica has been consistently easy and pleasant. We've already booked our stay for next year!
