It was indeed a lovely log cabin in the woods, centrally located in Middle Tennessee. It served our needs well. From a comfort and user friendly perspective, there are some navigation and slip hazards in the front drive and walkways (uneven, slippery flagstones; no lighting on side of house at night.) Also, it's time to replace the upstairs comforter and pillows ( . . . So lumpy we joked of there being ghosts of past pets sleeping on the bed!) And your washing machine needs maintenance attention (- it clunks loudly on the spin cycle.) Loved the fireplace and lighted tree in the living room, and the treehouse feel of the whole house.
The cabin was nice. However, the furniture in the living room needs to be replaced. It is very uncomfortable and the feathers poke through the cushions into your skin. The handle on the kettle in the kitchen was broke when we got there. Needs to be replaced. Trying to pour hot water out of it is unsafe. Other than that, our stay was enjoyable.
It was perfect for our short time near Nashville. We got to experience the city and then get away to the quiet cabin. The photos of the cabin looked awesome but honestly, itâs even more charming and cozy in person. Very clean, and had everything we needed. We will be back again! Thank you for the great experience!
This cabin provided all we needed. It was charming, comfortable and clean. Perfect distance from Nashville for fun and nightlife yet enough away for a cozy mountain feel. Excellent communication with owners.
This very nice and roomy cabin not far from the Natchez Trace provided us with evening/nightly comfort during our recent Nashville trip. The cabin is nicely nestled within the native forest in the area and it has a large glass window for the forest view out. Amenities are excellent and as advertised. Loved the covered back porch with nice rocking chairsâgreat for morning coffee or evening libations! If you are a cabin personâthis oneâs a winner!! One heads-upâthe driveway is a little steepâmy Ram 1500 had no problem with it.
Our stay went smoothly. The porch was amazing! The beds were comfortable. Great, private location, perfectly positioned right outside Nashville. Our only issue was trying to regulate the temperature upstairs. Bedsides that, it was a perfect stay.
Overall the cabin is wonderful! Had a setback with the refrigerator decided to die, but Al did his best to get a new one there as quickly as possible. Lost a couple products but these things happen in life. Very responsive. Not much area for a child to play up on the hill but the view was nice. Great to stay outside the city limits. Despite the heat wave the temperature in the cabin was very comfortable!
We love staying at this cabin! Multiple trips here, sometimes just me and my husband and sometimes with friends. Always a great experience, hosts answer questions right away, house is so relaxing and in away from the noise of downtown. Will book again!
The cabin and property are beautiful and peaceful. A great place to come "home" to after checking out the Nashville scene all day! Fully equipped with everything needed.
We found beer bottles and cans on the property! A nail was sticking out of one of the stairs that goes up to the second floor that my wife almost cut her foot on. The microwave wasn't working (called the owners but got no response til the next day) but we solved the problem on our own--the breaker was tripped. There's a trail cam facing the cabin (probably recording the basement door which was left unlocked), but still felt like an invasion of privacy. The top rail on the deck was bent way up in the corner which we had to be careful with our grandkids playing out there. The front door wouldn't lock all the time. We had to keep playing around with it to get it to lock. Seemed like the dead bolt wasn't lining up with the hole. In my opinion, the place was way to overly priced for a weekday stay. Not recomending this place.
This property is actually better than advertised. It is kind of an upscale rustic. You have everything you need in terms of kitchen appliances, kitchen utensils, bedding, comfortable living room seating, comfortable beds and nice bedding, to make your visit a wonderful experience. Loved it as our jumping off point for our family gathering in Nashville. We had six adults in the cabin, and it was perfect.
We built this cozy, custom log cabin for vacationers who want to enjoy the beautiful Gatlinburg-like surroundings 20 minutes to downtown Nashville. We have always enjoyed nature and wildlife but also wanted to be close to the modern conveniences that a city like Nashville has to offer, as well as the charm of a rural backdrop.
Beautiful log home, decorated in an equestrian theme. In a wooded area perfect for a Tennessee feel and relaxing environment. We fell in love with the area and bought the land in 2015. The location is beautiful yet very convenient to many of the Nashville amenities. In fact, it is a 20 minute highway drive to downtown Nashville and all it has to offer. About 10 minutes from Bellevue, Westmeade, Bellemeade and Natchez Trace
Some of the lumber used was from a turn-of-the century dairy barn, including a timber that holds the stairway landing. And the barn doors we crafted were milled from the trees where the cabin now stands. These include Mockernut Hickory, Green Ash, and White Oak.
