Will definitely be renting this house again! We stayed with another family and had a great time. The house is made for a group stay and had plenty of room and space to relax. Looking forward to the next trip.
Like this property a lot. Easy and turnkey and nice architectural features with all of the exposed beams. Would definitely stay again! Thank you to our hosts!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this quiet cabin in Londonderry. If you are looking to stay at a place with a warm fireplace to relax after a day on the slopes, this is your place! Thank you for the hospitality.
Great house for our ski weekend at Okemo and Stratton. Perfect for two families- kids in the bunk room and adults each with their own room (although one couple slept in two twins). House was clean, kitchen was well appointed. WiFi was not functioning but we didnât pursue a solution. Thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace- donât forget to pick up wood and a lighter on your way in. Unrelated to the house- but fyi, nearby takeout food options were poor and that took us by surprise.
This property is nestled in a quiet neighborhood about a mile from a strip mall that had a supermarket and restaurant and 20 minutes from Stratton Mountain. The house slept 4 teenagers, 1 child and 2 adults comfortably. There was a room to put all our ski gear when we entered the house which made it very convienent. My only gripe was that there was no dry wood for a fire. I had to buy a bundle of firewood to make a fire, which is a must after 7 hours on the slopes.
The communication with management was 5 star, and very well priced. This was my 2nd time renting this house and would defintely rent again. I would recommend this house to rent.
Great proximity to Ski areas Bromley and Stratton. Also close to Manchester shopping!
Easy access road to main highway, Route 11. The home was cozy and the bathrooms were stocked with clean towels, There were also other bathroom amenities. The bedding was clean but weathered.
We were disappointed, however, that the rugs were somewhat dusty and the toilets had not been thoroughly cleaned. Although we had cable TV we had no wifi during our entire visit so our computers could not connect and telephone connections were spotty or non-existent. We called the support team several times but no help.
Suggest having 2 keys, not 1.
Revamp info for longer stays like we did- when garbage and recycles are picked up for example.
Fix toaster , it broke while there.
drop the ridiculous lost fee; it caused me to NOT rent next there through Homeaway; what a low rent thing to do to people.
We enjoyed our stay at this charming post & beam house. It is exactly like pictured and really in a wonderful location. A couple notes for their property managers (that we also communicated to them!)
- the heat was set to 50 and the water was turned off when we arrived on a frigid February evening! I called Vacasa, the property manager who responded promptly but figured out how to turn it on in the meantime. This should be included in the check in notes (I confirmed it is not) and the heat should simply not be set that low on a check in day
- the house smells of stale smoke. Hopefully they replace carpets soon to remedy that
- there was no wood, kindling or working lighter in the house. There is wood stacked outside. Inconvenient yes but we made do
- property manager does a good job of stocking towels, toiletries, and other household necessities. (Aside from firewood!)
-well stocked kitchen & very clean!
Overall a nice stay.
The property was as listed and happy with the stay, sans coffee pot :)
I made a run to Walmart before it closed and left it at the house for the next family. Enjoy that hot cup of java!!
Basically this is a lovely house. We had a couple of issues that caused me to lower the rating:
Beds - other than the queen downstairs, the matrasses are old and only provide enough support for a child.
Rugs are old and dusty. Triggered dust allergies.
Kitchen was missing a few basics like spatula, aluminum foil and matches (lots of firewood but no matches?) but otherwise well supplied.
On the plus side, the location is great and the house is basically comfortable and pleasant.
This spot had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and organized and the couch was great to lounge on. The bed was a bit harder than Iâm used too. Nice private environment and location.
I checked in and realized the water wasn't working. Called the 800 number and was told someone would call me back but they had no idea when. I go food shopping and guy calls but bad connection. I can barely hear him due to bad connection. Turns out he was trying to say check the breakers. Minutes before he arrived I see note on door to water heater--not in obvious place about the breakers. problem solved.
A few days go by and I return from hiking-unlock door-but key stuck in lock. Call the 800 number and they say tech will be in touch. About 45 minutes later guy calls back and says he will arrive in 30 minutes. Squirts lubricant in door releases key.
Two days later I get back in evening and key turns but lock won't open. Call 800 number--tech calls back and says he will be there in 90 minutes. Two hrs later I call and said he is almost there. He jimmied the door open with a credit card-takes lock apart and sees it is worn out. Puts it back together saying they want the owner to get a more modern lock. I just avoid locking for rest of stay.
Strong smell of cigarette smoke and overall mustiness. More than a few broken and/or non-functioning items. Very cheap, dated appliances and fixtures. Would never rent this house again.
