NEW! Private Historic Townhouse. Incredible Central Location by Covent Garden
OVERVIEW
The incredible, recently renovated 350 year private townhouse combines an amazing central location, with rare historic architecture and modern comfort. Lovingly and sympathetically restored it combines the best of the old with super fast Wifi, comfy beds and period elegance. No ordinary rental!
THE LOCATION
Once the garden of the Duke of Buckingham's York House on the River Thames, this small secret area of London became known London's Adelphi Area. A very special conservation area sandwiched just 3 mins walk in each direction between: Covent Garden to the North, Trafalgar Square & The National Gallery to the West, The Savoy Hotel to the East and Embankment Gardens and the River Thames to the South. The area was orginaly developed in the 17th century with townhouses, further developed in the 18th Century with stately regency & Georgian properties and the Art Deco Adelphi building added in the 20th Century. Today it is hidden residential enclave which is what London is all about - where Samuel Pepys lived in 17th century, and Charles Dickens set one of his novels in 19th century and where today many movies & TV series have been been filmed (the Crown, Fleabag, Cruella, Poirot, to name but a few).
