Casa Gemeas in Luz with ocean views, private pool - 10 mins walk to the beach

Casa Gemeas is a delightful villa with sea views and a private pool located in a quiet peaceful area of Praia da Luz.
The front door to this lovely split-level villa is at pool level and stairs from the entrance hall lead to the appealing lounge, dining area and kitchen located on the upper level to make the most of the special sea views. The bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs and open onto the pool area.

The welcoming bright spacious lounge has two comfy sofas, a wood-burner, a 44" TV and sliding doors to the veranda with splendid sea views. The adjacent dining area has a polished wood dining table and chairs, matching sideboard and doors to the sunny veranda with alfresco dining options. There is a handy service hatch to the separate well-equipped kitchen which has a gas cooking hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and all the appliances, equipment, pots, pans and crockery you need for your holiday.

Sliding doors from the kitchen open to a pretty the rear patio garden with another dining set next to the brick-built charcoal BBQ. Steps from the rear patio lead down to the pool area.
There are sun loungers on the pool patio and a table and chairs is useful for poolside drinks and snacks. The private pool (6 x 4m), has a pool cover for heat retention and is regularly maintained, as is the garden area with palms and fragrant plants which add an exotic touch to this charming area.

On the lower level, Bedroom 1 opens to the pool area and has a double bed (1.40m), fitted wardrobe, safe, hairdryer and an en-suite bathroom with bath/shower, bidet, WC and basin. Bedroom 2 also opens to the pool area. It has twin beds, fitted wardrobe and is close to the family bathroom which has shower and WC. Electric fans are provided.

Everything in Luz is in walking distance and the small town offers a terrific choice and variety of great restaurants, the closest of which is just 5 mins walk. It's a 10 minute walk to beautiful Luz Beach with its long sandy beach, where sunbeds and watersports are available. Grocery stores, pharmacy, bank, post office are all walkable and Baptista and Spar supermarkets will deliver if that makes life easier so you can just relax, unwind and enjoy the sunshine.

A car is not essential but there is free parking if you have a car, with the added opportunity of exploring the stunning coastline to the west, with huge cliffs sculpted by the Atlantic Ocean, sandy beaches popular for windsurfing, Inland you can discover the wooded hills and colourful mountain villages in the Sierra de Monchique to the north, or historic Silves with its Moorish fortress and multi-layered history. It's all there to be discovered - if you have time!
