Heerlijk appartement in prachtig resort in t lieflijke Luz

Ruim appartement met heel groot balkon op n mooi resort; veel groen tussen de gebouwen dat goed onderhouden wordt, het staat er mooi bij. Uitgebreide fitnessmogelijkheid dat er ook goed bij staat. Fijn verwarmd binnenzwembad.

Super apartment in a great complex

Hans is a great host, and was always quick to reply to any communication through the booking and stay. The apartment is spacious and well equipped with a lovely large balcony that gets the sun most of the day. I would definitely recommending booking the apartment.

Perfect summer holiday

We had a lovely stay , the apartment was perfect had all that we needed, walking distance to the beach, restaurants. The resort itself was lovely with nice size swimming pools.

Beautiful apartment. One of the nicest apartments we have stayed in. Very spacious, more than enough room for a family of four. The apartment/hotel complex is lovely and the reception staff very helpful. Conveniently located to the beach/shops restaurants. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Fantastic apartment with a great terrace

We loved our stay at this quiet complex which was well managed and very clean. The apartment itself was fantastic with everything a family of 4 could need and more. The spacious terraces were ideal for a leisurely breakfast in the morning sun but there were also always some areas in the shade if required. We loved that there was a separate children's pool so the adult pool was so peaceful. The gym was well equipped and the indoor pool was perfect for the one cloudy day we had. Easy to walk to the beach and local restaurants which were reasonably priced. We also visited Meia Praia beach which was practically deserted for a 10 euro Uber ride, well worth a visit but the beach at Luz was great too, not overcrowded at all in June. Hans, the property manager was very helpful and provided us with some useful information about the surrounding area. Thank you Hans! Great apartment which we will definitely return to.

Amazing stay in Luz

I booked this holiday mostly based on the previous reviews, and I was not disappointed. As others have said the photos don’t do it justice. It is more modern than the photos suggest. It is so well equipped and very spacious. The kitchen was great and there were loads of bits of food/condiments others had left which was appreciated. The showers were hot, and the AC was great throughout although we didn’t really need it even though it was very hot. With the electric shutters down it kept the apartment really cool. . The complex is beautiful and the pool was good, although we preferred the beach. It is a handy location for the beach, there is a supermarket within 5 mins walking, and the village has many great restaurants. We did not have a single bad meal whilst in Luz! Hans was a great host, very responsive and very helpful. Overall, I would highly recommend!

Family had another great holiday in Luz, accommodation great standard and having a heated outdoor pool and indoor pool was ideal late in season with witha few days of unsettled weather. Apartment in great location for a 10 min stroll to restaurants and the beach. Would highly recommend.

Very impressed with the apartment for a family of four, had everything we needed and plenty of space as the size of the apartment and balcony was impressive. Apartment was spotless on arrival and check-in was no hassle. Walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend and will hopefully return again soon. Thanks for accommodating

A Perfect Apartment for Us

We had a fantastic time in Hans' apartment. We have stayed in many different ones over the years in Estrela da Luz and this was by far our favourite. Everything you needed and more, plus a great layout, the pictures do not do it justice. Thank you Hans, we will book again for next year!

Lovely relaxing holiday.

Great apartment in a good position only a short walk into the Luz village where there are a couple of supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The apartment itself was very clean and generally in good order. The verander area is very roomy and has the sun until around 4 pm. The Estrela Estate is well cared for and there are attractive gardens. Local people had provided negative feedback on the service at Chiccos the on site restaurant but we visited on our last night and the food and service were both excellent. Really enjoyed our relaxed holiday in one of our favorite villages.

Wonderful stay

We had a lovely holiday and felt so comfortable and relaxed from the moment we arrived. Han’s the owner provided us with very good information before our holiday began, which helped us feel confident that we had made the right booking. On arrival the check in process was very quick and easy. The apartment was very clean and spacious with a large balcony area so you could sit out and relax. If you choose to hire a car, which I would recommend if you wish to explore further afield, but is not essential if you just want to stay local, the apartment comes with it’s own secure car parking space in an underground garage. The swimming pools (children and adults) are lovely and you do not feel overcrowded. There was no trouble in acquiring a sunbed as there were plenty to go around, although some families did reserve their beds by putting out their towels. The restaurants on-site are very good and provide a good selection of food. The gym is also easy to access and is very good as both my daughter and niece would testify. The evening bar and restaurant is excellent, with the menu offering a good selection . The staff are very friendly and they do all they can to make your meal that extra bit special. For football fans they will show your favorite team if they are on the television. There is also an area for the children to play pool . The complex is very secure, has beautifully presented gardens and is only a 5 -10 minute walk away from the sea. The beach is sandy, but has a rock area if you wish to avoid the sand and sunbathe. Both provide good access to the sea. There are 2 supermarkets within a short walk and the resort has plenty of restaurants to choose from. The whole family had a wonderful holiday and we would have no hesitation in rebooking with Hans. Thank you Hans for allowing us to use your holiday home and I hope to rebook with you again in the future. Best wishes David and family.

We found this apartment very spacious with an exceptionally large balcony. The facilities within the apartment were excellent as were the facilities within the complex generally. We would definitally recommend it to anyone and will hopefully return in the near future.

The best!!!

The best appartment!!! We really enjoyed our stay and it was a lovely resort. We were five of us in the appertment, and it was pleanty of room. It was very well equiped and all the things we needed was there. We strongly recommend to spend a vacation here.

Wonderful spacious apartment in great spot of top resort

The apartment exceeded all expectations in that it’s really big and modern, much nicer than the pictures suggest. It’s in a great location, ground floor at the back but raised at the front so the main balcony overlooks the lovely grounds and some of the family pool (not too noisy). The resort has an adult and child pool which was a bit annoying as my girls are 13 and 11 so didn’t necessarily want to be in with little kids - and neither did us adults! but We made it work and the resort were quite chilled about the girls laying quietly reading up by the adult pool. There is a nice small gym and reasonably priced spa (gave girls manicures!). The kitchen is well equipped- we cooked a couple of evenings using produce from the Spar supermarket - a 5 minute walk away. The beaches are stunning with lots of water activities for the adventurous. There’s a basic but nice restaurant onsite with good fussy eater options for children, and varied restaurants a walk away. Lagos is a 10 minute drive with more restaurants and lots of shops plus cool beaches. Loved it. Oh and the shutters in the apartment made the space noiseproof and dark - we had some amazing sleep ins! Wish I was there still, thoroughly recommend.

Best Apartment!

Firstly before giving a review for this apartment in the Estrela da Luz complex, we would like to thank Hans for the personal gesture for our stay at his apartment, it was greatly appreciated by us both. We have now stayed in a number of apartments over our 9 trips to the Estrela over the last 6 years. We generally book through the Estrela & try to request an apartment with a sea view & a balcony that gets plenty of the sun to allow breakfasts or relaxation during the day. They do their best to accommodate these requests but the main request for plenty of sun on the balcony hasn't been perfect on some occasions. Hans' apartment is in block D & on ground level (from the adult pool side of the building). It's a 2 bedroom apartment that is furnished with a very homely feel and to a very high standard. The living area & bedrooms are very well presented & the kitchen has all the usual appliances and even a coffee machine! The balcony, in our opinion has been one of the best, if not the best we have had during all our stays here. It's on ground level so there is no sea view, but it got the sun from around 7:30am through to around 4:30pm (month of May). The large balcony ran from the living room to the bedroom & had a 4 chair patio table, 2 reclining chairs with small table & 2 sun loungers. We were able to have breakfast & lunch on the balcony every day & still have plenty of time to top up the tan. This is an apartment that we would be delighted to book for future visits to the Estrela. Thanks again Hans, John & Katie Finan

First class apartment in our favourite resort well equiped, and allthough there were only two of us it is more than adequate for four. The only minus point is that it does not have sea views but it is only a short walk to the beach. Would certainly rent again.
