The Victorian harbour, maintained by the National Trust, has a small, sandy beach at low tide. Other lovely beaches, including Polurrian, Poldhu and Gunwalloe, with its quaint church, are within 1 mile, while Kynance Cove (3 miles), near the tip of the rugged Lizard Peninsula, is a Cornish gem, renowned for its remarkable rock formations. Spot seals on boat trips from Mullion Harbour and meet more fascinating marine wildlife in the care of Gweek Seal Sanctuary (6 miles). Visit picture-postcard St Michael’s Mount at Marazion (20 miles) and enjoy a cream tea at the island’s National Trust cafe.
