Glad you guys had a great stay at Cocokai. Not sure what you mean aboit the temperature adjustments there are 3 thermostats there for guests to adjust room temperature.

We’re glad the house itself worked well for your large group of 15, that you found it safe and quiet, and that you appreciated our quick communication when the small issues came up. We’d like to address a few of the points you raised so future guests have accurate expectations: Beach Coco Kai sits on a private sandy beach with sand quality comparable to Seven Mile Beach. There is a good-sized sandy area right down to the waterline, and the private dock drops into a sandy bottom. At the shoreline there can be some non-sharp rocks and seasonal sea grass depending on the tide — this is typical of North Side beaches. The house is backed by an extensive reef system that offers some of the best snorkeling on the entire island, with abundant marine life right offshore (and the option to swim past the reef into open water). We provide snorkeling gear, fishing gear, and kayaks. For families with little ones who prefer the softest possible entry, Rum Point is just a short drive up the road and excellent for swimming. We carefully maintain the beach and many guests specifically choose this location for the private sand outstanding snorkeling combination. Pool The pool is a heated saltwater pool with a high-tech filtration system and is over 6 feet deep. Heated pools are uncommon in the Cayman Islands, and guests consistently tell us they are glad to have it, especially after time in the ocean or for evening use. Location You are correct that Coco Kai is on the quieter North Side of the island — roughly a 45-minute drive from the main tourist corridor of Seven Mile Beach and George Town (about 21 miles from the airport). That distance is intentional. This is the peaceful, residential side of Grand Cayman with a true island feel, away from cruise-ship crowds, heavy traffic, and souvenir shops. Guests who want privacy and nature love the proximity to Rum Point, Starfish Beach, Kaibo, and some of the island’s best snorkeling and fishing right from the house and dock. A large Foster’s supermarket in Savannah is only about 20 minutes away. Rental cars are inexpensive and easy on Cayman, and we are happy to help arrange discounted rates. Restaurants There are several solid options on this end of the island. We provide guests with a list that includes Caboose (excellent local Caymanian food), Over the Edge, Rum Point Club, Kaibo, Italian Kitchen, and Tukka. There are also newer island-wide food delivery services available if you prefer not to drive. Groceries We do not operate any grocery delivery service ourselves. Guests order directly online from the major stores on the island (Foster’s, Hurley’s, etc.), which all run their own delivery services. Most of our guests order in advance so the fridge is fully stocked when they arrive while the house is being cleaned — it works very well and the delivery fee is typically around $45. Alcohol can also be delivered. We always recommend this option (or shopping at Foster’s Savannah on the way from the airport) and make it clear that delivery timing is handled by the stores, not by us. We’re sorry the beach and location didn’t match what you were hoping for, but we hope the above clarifies the actual experience at Coco Kai. We take pride in offering a private, spacious oceanfront home with excellent snorkeling right outside and a peaceful North Side setting. Thank you again for your feedback.
