This beautifully presented 2-floor apartment combines original Georgian splendor with all the comforts of a modern home. Built in 1792 for Lord Cranstoun, an accomplished Royal Navy officer, this spacious 3 bedroom property is the perfect base from which to explore Edinburgh.
Located in the heart of the New town, 1 minute walk from George street. This flat will comfortably accommodate 6 people with 3 bedrooms. The default configuration is two super king-size rooms and one twin. Alternatively you can have 2 twin rooms (if requested in advance). There are 2 en-suite bathrooms and a further sizeable family bathroom.
The property has a spacious living room plus a separate kitchen / dining area. Itâs worth noting that the front aspect of the property benefits from superb views of the Castle to the south, and the Firth of Forth to the north.
The whole property will yours for the duration of your stay.
1 minute walk from George street, Edinburgh's prestigious shopping and restaurant area. You'll be spoilt for choice for restaurants and bars in this area.
For something a little quieter, try the Cambridge or Oxford bars on Young street or Fishers in the City on Thistle Street. If you're looking for something particularly Scottish, why not pay a visit to the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, just around the corner at 28 Queen Street.
Edinburgh Waverley is a 15min walk. If youâre coming in from the airport, the closest tram stop on Princess street is 7 mins walk away. Edinburgh bus station is also close by with a 10 min walk. Edinburgh is well serviced by buses.
There is metered parking on the street outside the property, which can be paid for via the RingGO app. Alternatively there is secure public car park at the St. James Quarter just a few minutes away by car.
It should be noted that this is a double upper apartment which means it is situated over two floors at the top of the building and as is common in most Edinburgh apartments there is no escalator or service lift. It is probably not best suited if you have mobility issues. Please also let us know if youâd prefer the two bedrooms with zip & link beds made as singles or as a super king size double.
