Carla was wonderful!! She drugged my girlfriendâs bag from the station to the apartment. Location was A ! One small note to Carla. Wash cloths would be great for the bathroom shower. A note to travelers if you are older or disabled, the walk up the stairs could be difficult. Other than that wonderful!!
Excellent location, in the heart of historic Florence. All major attractions within easy walking distance.
Apartment very clean, comfortable, spacious and had everything that you could want for a self catering holiday with additional thoughtful touches such as tea and coffee to get you started on arrival.
There is a supermarket opposite and 5 mins walk away as well as a nearby under cover market opened every morning selling fresh meat fish, fruit, vegetables and much more. Situated on a bustling street with many eateries, however, the apartment was at the rear of the building and therefore very quiet.
Carla is a marvellous hostess, great communication before and during our stay, met us at the train station, gave helpful tips on tourist attractions and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Would return. Highly recommended.
The apartment was in a perfect location and Carla made everything easy! She took the time to explain not only what we needed to know about the apartment but also showed us on a map where we should go and how to get there. We stayed in the apartment for a month and were enchanted with Florence, Tuscany and what we saw of Italy. It was truly the trip of a lifetime and Carla and her "Flat" made it even more enjoyable. We hope to return at some time!
We stayed in this apartment for four nights during September and had a great time! Everything was very clean and we had no issues with anything inside the place. Shower, a/c, stove, etc. all worked just fine and it was a great little space to base our tour of Florence from.
The location is perfect. We walked there after arriving at the train station, and many other city attractions are accessible on foot. The Duomo, Uffizi, Academia...all easy to get to! Additionally the supermarket just across the street is very useful for grocery shopping, and the nearby Mercato Centrale is a a great place to hang out and get some good food.
And finally, Carla is a fantastic host! She was very responsive to correspondence and even gave us some sightseeing tips when we met her on arrival. We never had to contact her for any issues, but she provided numbers for herself and the property managers in case anything were to pop up.
This was an excellent experience and we'd love to stay here again whenever we come back to Florence!
We stayed in Carla's beautiful little apartment during Easter week and enjoyed every minute of it. The apartment is very nice inside and it's actually good that it doesn't face a street as there's a lot of nightly noise in the town centre. To get to the apartment you climb three steep floors and then - presto - you step into this wonderfully renovated apartment with three rooms and a bathroom.
There's everything you need in the apartment and it's very beautifully and personally decorated.
When you step outside you're two steps from the Duomo in one direction and San Lorenzo in the other direction. There is an abundance of restaurants in the street and a very good supermarket specializing in local food just across the street.
There is A/C in the apartment, but I can imagine that it could be a bit stuffy and hot during the really hot season in July and August. But it's a perfect place to stay outside the high season, nine - ten months of the year.
My wife and I came in to Florence by train from Venice. It was a short walk from the train station to the apartment and where we were greeted by Carla who had been in communication via text message and was waiting outside for us. Carla was very gracious and helpful, making sure we knew everything we needed to know about the apartment, the neighborhood, where to take the garbage, sightseeing options, etc. There were no unpleasant surprises with this place, (other than a slight moldy smell coming from the outside rooftop, but it is an old building) it was comfortable and clean, plenty of room for the two of us and had everything we needed for our stay. There is no clothes dryer, but we hung our wet laundry in the traditional method to dry which I enjoyed doing. It seems very safe and secure and we enjoyed the experience overall.
The apartment is VERY conveniently located, right around the corner from the Duomo and very close to the fantastic Mercado which is a huge resource for great food, shopping and just a good hangout. All the major sightseeing objectives are within easy walking distance and Carla gave us some good advice about areas to find good restaurants which were outside the main tourist area frequented by locals.
Carla was extremely helpful, going out of her way to give us with ideas when it came to an out of town excursion. We were thinking of trying to get up to Cinque Terre area but opted for an early train to Rome for a whirlwind visit.
The bathroom was narrow but functional and the apartment had plenty of closet and drawer space. The bed was comfortable and we both slept very well. The apartment is on the 3rd floor (floor 2) so if you don't like climbing stairs this isn't for you. We didn't mind it at all, in fact I felt safer being upstairs and it was nice and quiet. We had no issues during our stay.
All in all I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Florence. Outstanding location, comfortable, convenient and safe. We would definitely stay here in the future!
Carla is the best host we have ever had at a vacation rental. She picked us up at the train station, helped us with reservations, cancellations, and recommendations. Staying at Carlaâs place is like having a friend in Florence. She even offered to come get us when our train to our next vacation stop was very delayed. The apartment itself is beautiful (with a view of the Campanille from the bed), super clean, in a fantastic location, and has every comfortâeven a Nespresso machine, and Carla leaves pods and biscuits! We would not hesitate to book Carlaâs apartment again. Thank you so much, Carla!
This is a super place. Clean, quaint, has the feel of "old Firenze", right in a perfect place and within 2-4 blocks of a hundred cool places. Best of all is Carla; she was wonderful to work with, she bent over backwards to make our stay the best it could be. She was totally appropriate with our leaving early because of the Covid-19 virus exploding in Italy. Totally good. dfb
Absolutely wonderful place to stay in the heart of Florence
Carla's flat was a most delightful and wonderful " home sweet home" for my 6 week stay in Florence. I couldn't have picked a better place to stay, with Carla being the perfect host! She offered to pick me up from the train station and helped me carry up my luggage to the apartment, as well as providing really good eating and sightseeing recommendations....so thank you Carla for all your help and kindness. The apartment is really well located, right in the heart of Florence and within walking distance to everything! It's only a few steps from the magnificent Duomo, restaurants and supermarket. There is even a view of the Duomo Bell Tower from the bedroom. Carla has tastefully decorated her flat to make for a most comfortable stay. The kitchen is very well appointed and there is a super large shower and comfortable large double bed. I would gladly return to Carla's flat next time I take a holiday in Florence.
We spent just six days in Florence so location was very important; the apartment is positioned literally around the corner from the Duomo, so all of the major attractions are within easy walking distance. The apartment is fully fitted, comfortable for two, less convenient for three or four. Carla could not have made us more welcome, meeting us at the station, showing the way to the apartment, while helping haul the luggage: could not have been a better start to our stay.
This is a charming and quiet apartment on an extremely busy street. Carla has taken care to decorate it creatively and to provide for every need. We enjoyed our stay here.
Carla was great; met us at train station and walked us to the apartment and showed us specifics with the appliances, storage, etc. We would stay there again.
Great flat in a central location, just off Cuomo. Warm and inviting interior. Would definitely stay
Extremely quiet at night, convenient to many nearby restaurants.

It was ideally situated for all the attractions
The property was very comfortable and spacious and well thought out.It was well equipped to cook the wonderful produce from the central market. Everything was within easy reach from museums to wonderful restaurants. We felt apart of Tuscan life.
Spacious flat with an excellent kitchen (loved the gas cooktop) & Giotto's Campanile viewable lying in bed. Unbelievably quiet given the location.
Carla is an excellent hostess, made sure we knew all the ins & outs of the flat, as well as tips for things to do & see. Her binder has a wonderful set of walking tours of the Oltrarno, which we did not have time to do on this trip but now has us dreaming about the next one to Firenze; it's one of our favorite cities with wonderful people, art, architecture, food, and culture. We'll be back and seeking out Carla's flat for our next visit.
The location couldnât be more central; right off the Piazza Duomo. We walked everywhere. Carla met us at the train station, and made sure we had all our questions answered. The apartment has windows on 3 sides, so lots of fresh air. Well decorated and comfortable. (Though expect to hear the bells from the bell tower first chime at 7am, and the soft clatter of dishes bring washed in the restaurant next door at night.) The apartmentâs kitchen was equipped well enough for us to cook several meals - There is a grocery right across the street. Lots of great restaurants and nice little shops nearby as well. We were here for 6 nights, and highly recommend it. If we ever get back to Firenze, this is where we would want to stay.

I'm Tuscan and i adore every part of this region. I adore travel and i try to treat my guests like i would like to be treated. I hope to be able to make your holiday as pleasent as possible!
It's the ideal location to visit Florence: in the hearth of the city you can live like a typical florentine citizen and enjoying the best part of this wonderful city.
At the opposite side of the street where is located the apartment there is a supermarket open everyday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm (21.00) also on Sunday. I suggest also to visit the Historical market of San Lorenzo at five minuts by walk from the apartment where you can buy every type of food from 7:00am to 2:00 pm (14) and eat or drink at the first floor from 10am to midnight everyday!
