à propos de cet hébergement
Dependance a Baglio il Corvo by Wonderful Italy
Charming and bright apartment in a farmhouse with swimming pool surrounded by nature, in one of the most picturesque valleys of the Madonie Mountains.
Baglio il Corvo is a '700 horseshoe farmhouse just 3 km from Gangi. This property is located on the mountain of Corvo, from which it takes its name, and enjoys a picturesque view of the valley and the beautiful village of Gangi. This is the ideal place for those who love nature, rural life and for a getaway from the chaos of the city, accompanied by the slow rhythms and noises of country life. The highlight of the farmhouse are the outdoor spaces: the enchanting garden, the terraces that complete the two master bedrooms, and the swimming pool overlooking the valley furnished with tables, chairs and deck chairs.
The Dependance, overlooking the Baglio, features a fully-equipped kitchen on the ground floor and, upstairs, a living area furnished with a sofa. The sleeping area, also located on the upper floor, includes a bedroom with a queen-size bed. A bathroom with bathtub completes the layout.
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
Perched on Mount Marone, 120 kilometers (75 miles) from Palermo, is the wonderful medieval village of Gangi. This small town is the protagonist of a stony setting of houses adorned with flowers, wrought-iron balconies, rich portals, eighteen churches, stately palaces and artistic treasures scattered in the typical alleys. Gangi is one of 14 municipalities covered by the Madonie Regional Natural Park (UNESCO Geopark), an area in the heart of Sicily suspended between the sea and the mountains, and was elected Italy's Most Beautiful Village in 2014. Gangi is a place rich in architectural and artistic heritage: the 14th-century city walls enclose the upper part of the town, which preserves the most significant buildings such as the mother church and Bongiorno-Li Destri palace. Gang's menu boasts several dishes: not to be missed are Gangi's caciocavallo, a first- or second-salt sheep's milk cheese seasoned with peppercorns, and dried sausage, as well as "ccu maccu" pasta, baked mutton with potatoes, and the traditional "mastacuttĂš," cookies made of flour, sugar and prickly pear juice.
Gangi is a strategic point for making historical-artistic and gastronomic excursions to nearby Madonie towns, such as Castelbuono (32 km away) with its three museums and renowned restaurants, CefalĂč (53 km away), take nature walks or horseback rides, to Piano Battaglia (28 km away) or to Petralia Sottana where the Madonie Adventure Park is located (16 km away).
Both Catania and Palermo airports are 2 hours drive from the accommodation.
