- Hot Tub: Outdoor hot tub rental (€150 first day, €50 per additional day), including heating and maintenance.
- Starter Kit: Hand dish detergent, dishwasher tablets, salt, spices, filter bags, kitchen paper, toilet paper, cleaning tools and agents, dish towel, foil, baking paper, shampoo, and liquid soap.
- Linens: Sheets and towels available for €20/set or bring your own.

The Family Apartment is entirely reserved for its guests. The apartment has its own yard area with a hot tub (for an additional fee) and terrace furniture and a barbecue area in summer. On the ground floor, there's a yoga/dojo room available for all Wanha koulu quests daily between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.

It is really convenient to go to the slopes from Tahko's Western side, as there is always less traffic and you can park your car right next to the ski lifts. You can also buy the tickets here. You can also get to the famous Pehkubar and Panorama bar directly by car from the Western side.

Yard area and the neighborhood

The area of Wanha koulu offers plenty of opportunities for leisure activities, both for adults and children.

In the winter, you can use sleds, as well as 2 pairs of snowshoes and some children's skis and equipment.

A traditional village ski trail (9km) starts from the yard. Snowmobile trails are also easily accessible from a road nearby.

In the summer, you can use e.g. a soccer field and a large campfire site. The mountain bike trails you access in 4km distance. For children, there are bicycles, a wooden climbing hut, a slide, a sandbox, swings, and a cable car.

In the summer, Tahko offers a wonderful environment for golfers, as well as for fishing, off-road electric cycling, shooting, paintball, kayaking, picking berries and mushrooms, and a spa. Also around the school, there are wonderful hiking grounds with glacial ridges and valleys.

“Wanha koulu Tahkovuori” is located on the Western slopes of Tahko, in a quiet location in the middle of ridge landscapes shaped by the ice age. It is 6 km to the Western slopes of the Tahkovuori ski center, and 14 km to the center of Tahkovuori.

Please make sure that sheets are used on the beds to avoid an additional cleaning fee. Please note that this accommodation is not in center of Tahko ski center.
