A whales crossing was very private and secluded with an amazing ocean view. Screened in Lanai for amazing comfortable outside seating. We absolutely loved this place
Enjoyed the amazing views and eclectic antique furnishings. A quick drive down the hill to tide pools before sunset. Relaxing, quiet and comfortable for 4 adults.
Nice home filled with memorabilia making it cozy. Plenty of room for our family of 5 adults to sleep comfortably. WiFi was fast. Beautiful, quiet, country setting.
We were welcomed first by our host's friendly golden doodles then our host stopped by to offer assistance with whatever we needed. After we dropped our bags we headed to the end of the road to see an incredible view of the sunset. While watching the sun set, we saw whales breaching. The view and very limited audience in the area felt like we had the whole thing to ourselves.
When we all realized that the Ironman Triathalon was going to make travel harder from the south end of the island, we found this gem at the north end of the island in Hawi. Linda's home was like going back in time. Her furnishings were stellar antiques with an island flair. Beautiful little gem with a lovely host!
Great views, sky & ocean especially, from the huge comfortable screened porch and lovely, airy space, thoughtfully appointed inside and out. Our host Linda patiently responded to all our queries during the days prior to our stay & greeted us on arrival. Everything was in working order, hot water took awhile to reach the tap but it got there. Night sounds were a mellow and soothing mix of crickets and the steady sea breezes, with a very occasional coqui chiming in. Just 5 minutes to Hawi town for groceries, cafes, espresso, cute shops or a tank of gas. Very relaxing and pleasant stay. There was a shy, very reclusive little gecko patrolling about the place during our stay, cute and charming to our way of thinking!
Lovely home away from the bustle of city living. A perfect place to be inspired if you are an artist or a writer looking for a place for a writing retreat.
Property manager/ owner was accommodating to our needs.
We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Beautiful cabin that my friend and I had a wonderful time rnjoying the amazing ocean view, the artisian town of Hawi, amd the amazing stars at night. Hostess was very quick to respond to questions and was available for assistance if needed. Clean, cute, and a special place for sure.
This was a perfect cabin experience. Whale watching and shoreline hikes during the day. Sunsets from the screened porch and amazing bird song every morning. Definitely would return.
Very nice rural rustic cottage with access to coastal hiking. Very quiet (except for the wind). Super dark nights for stargazing. Friendly hosts and dogs, (Specially Goldie). The weather was a bit rainy, but we enjoyed our week.
We loved the house design and the decor is wonderful. The view of the ocean is great, you can walk to shore for sunset pics. Great star gazing at night! Close to the many of the beautiful valleys in the area. This is a great spot to explore this end of the big island. Also as a plus for dog lovers, they have very happy dogs on site if you miss your pooch â€ïž. Linda was very helpful before and during our stay. Mahalo
We were only there several hours but what a spot for a longer stay. We stayed somewhere else the night before and were thrilled when we got her. The hosts were super nice as well. Iâd stay here again but for much longer.
The peacefulness of this place is hard to describe. Off the beaten path and away from the chaos of the tourist destinations. The hosts were all great people, very friendly and helpful, and with great stories to about the area. They pointed us to some local spots that fell right into our style of exploring. Hawi is a charming little community with all the essentials. The dogs were great friends as well. Perfect place to sit on the porch and take in the breeze and sunsets.
This is a wonderful vacation rental with an incredible view, sweet dog friends and great hosts! Feels a little off the beaten path for good privacy and retreat space. We truly loved our time here!
A great stay overall. A beautiful house with all we needed and more. Recommended if you like to be on your own yet not far away from Big Islands beaches and coastlines.
My husband, Marty & I have lived here nearly 45 years. Born & raised in Long Beach, CA. We are high school sweethearts. Been married 57 years. We raised 2 sons, lived in Micronesia, lived on a boat in San Pedro, and have now lived here on the Big Island for 45 years. Built our home ourselves with our 2 sons. Invented "Glow in the dark bubbles" ... too much fun. Love & Aloha.
This property is special. It's a Hawaiian Experience. Very private in the country side. Only 2 houses on this road. Awesome ocean & sunset views. You can see Maui & Kahoolawe.
Very Historical Area. Walking distance to the ocean. Awesome Views! Surrounded by 850 acres of Bishop Estate pasture land. Very Private. Whales give birth in the bay in front of our property... Very Cool!! We have boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs and even suntan lotion so come play. Mahalo...
