à propos de cet hébergement
Do you need to take a break between mountains in a charming village in Alicante?
"Casa la maçana" is a beautiful 19th century village house that has been completely renovated and decorated in a rustic style.
The decoration has been carefully taken care of, using elements present in the traditional houses of the municipality, as well as utensils of the countryside, giving it a homely and traditional touch, but with all the comforts to enjoy a pleasant stay.
In summer you will appreciate the coolness of the house, and in winter you will stay warm with our cast iron radiators.
Distributed on three floors, it has 6 rooms with double bed, and one of them also has a sofa bed. All rooms have TV, private bathroom and hairdryer.
The common areas are distributed so that all the guests can enjoy being together.
The kitchen, equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher and all the utensils you need to cook (including a paella pan) communicates with the living room through a bar, so that cooking is an enjoyable activity in which everyone participates.
The dining room has a mini-chain system and several board games, and three tables to separate activities or environments.
All the tables can be joined to create a large table with capacity for 12-13 people and thus share the pleasure of eating.
And although the objective of the stay in "Casa la maçana" is to disconnect and enjoy the rural mountain world of Alicante, if you need to be connected with the outside world, the wifi is at your disposal.
"Casa la maçana" has a room with washer-dryer that will be open for stays of 4 days or more.
We hope you like "Casa la maçana" as much as we do!
WHAT TO DO AROUND HERE?
If you end up here, you will be lucky enough to enjoy the Alicante mountains and their trails, as well as the tranquility and atmosphere of an inland typical Spanish village.
"La Torre de les Maçanes" is an Alicante municipality located 788 meters above sea level and surrounded by several mountain ranges: Los Planes and La Rentonar, Penà guila, La Grana and Montagut. Therefore, you can find routes for beginners as well as for more experienced climbers.
On the other hand, Torremanzanas has a lot of history behind it. In the old town you can start by visiting the monument that has given its name to the municipality, the Torre de Maçanes, a tower of Almohad origin that is watching the population from the neighborhood of El Castell, which is at a higher altitude. It was probably built in the 12th century and has a compact appearance, and surely many stories to tell!
Another building with loads of history is Villa Edelmira, a fortified farmhouse that you will love to photograph, and your next stop may be the 16th century Parish Church of Santa Ana, which houses a necropolis.
If we continue walking to the outskirts of Torremanzanas we will reach the Sanatori, from the early twentieth century and former shelter for tuberculosis patients, which was also a military hospital during the Spanish Civil War. It is abandoned, but getting to discover it will surely be worth it!
And if after so much hustle and bustle, you feel like relaxing with a coffee, a beer, or tasting local dishes, you can do so in the various restaurants in the village.
If you want to try or take home local products such as olive oil or sausages, you can buy them in the stores, butchers and bakeries, or at the market that visits the village on Wednesdays and Sundays. And, although there are just over 800 inhabitants in "La Torre de les Maçanes", we believe that nothing is missing (!)
Last but not least. In the summer season, Torremanzanas has a fantastic municipal swimming pool open in July and August. If you want to take a dip, "Casa la maçana" invites you!
