Modern house in Carbis Bay
St Piran is a contemporary, newly renovated house in the heart of Carbis Bay, Cornwall.
Just a stoneâs throw away from the beach and local amenities, this stylish family-friendly property offers a relaxing and tranquil experience.
This elegant house offers distant sea views and is perfect for those seeking a peaceful break or an adventurous Cornish coast experience.
The space
St Piran is a spacious three-bedroom property that has been newly renovated to create a high-end
but comfortable environment.
There are two equally spacious double bedrooms with sea-views. The third bedroom is a twin-room that can offer two single beds that also join together to meet your needs. The bedrooms have blackout blinds and shutters.
The upstairs bathroom has a large shower supplied with an LED mirror. St Piran also has an additional ground floor bathroom, complete with a toilet, sink and luxurious shower over the bath.
The newly installed kitchen is equipped with all necessary amenities which includes a dishwasher,
washing machine, tumble dryer and coffee machine.
The living room is equipped with a 40-inch smart inch television with access to live channels through streaming services and Netflix.
There is a separate dining room with a table that can pull out and accommodate eight people.
St Piran is within walking distance of Carbis Bay beach. It is also within walking distance of a selection of bars and restaurants. You can also enjoy
a walk along the breath-taking Cornish coast to St Ives, where there is a vast array of restaurants, art galleries and boutiques. In addition to this the house is less than a 5-minute walk to a Tesco
Superstore.
There is no dedicated parking with the house but guests are able to unload and load their vehicle in front of the property. There is a car park opposite the property which is free and available to access.
Further free parking options are also available within a short walking distance.

Other things to note
Things to do:
- Carbis Bay beach-
As a world heritage site, it has been voted best resort in England and fourth best in the world, using factors such as beach quality, friendliness, outstanding natural beauty and Cultural activities. If you tire of Carbis Bay, Porthkidney is a good alternative beach, with its vast sandy landscape. Itâs an all-year dog-friendly beach with no restrictions, so perfect for your four-legged friends.
- Coastal walks -
There is no better way to travel to St Ives from Carbis Bay Hotel than to walk along the stunning coastal path. This very gentle stroll travels above the railway line, with spectacular views over St Ives Bay. The official South West Coast Path can be reached within a few minutes walk from the property.
- Watersports -
Ocean Sports Centre at Carbis Bay is AALS (Adventurous Activity Licensing Service) approved and offers a host of specialist watersports adventures, such as Hawaiian canoeing, outrigging and foiling (hydrofoils). They also do surfing, paddleboarding and kayaking so there is sure to be something there you have never tried before.
- Art -
Tate St Ives features work by some of the most influential British artists of the 20th Century who lived and worked in the town including Alfred Wallis, Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth - their work demonstrating the impact this small coastal town has had on the world of modern art. There is also an ever-changing programme of events and exhibitions that run throughout the year.
- Castles -
St Michael's Mount rises majestically out of the ocean at St Mountâs Bay and is arguably one of Cornwallâs most famous landmarks. Now part of the National Trust, the Mount is a great day out for all of the family with spectacular gardens, a picturesque harbour and stunning views across the bay to Landâs End.
Eating out:
For guests that like to eat out, Carbis Bay has plenty to choose from.
The Gannet Inn, sister hotel of Carbis Bay Hotel, is an award-winning restaurant set back on the St Ives Road, which features classic British recipes with a modern twist, all dishes are packed full of locally- sourced ingredients from the finest Cornish producers. Closer to the sea, appealing to those with international tastes, but also bringing in the British classics is Walterâs on the Beach. Open for lunch, dinner, bar snacks and a tasty cocktail menu, the restaurant overlooks the white sandy beach. Next door, however, is all about the finest of dining. MasterChef finalist, British chef and restaurateur Adam Handling made his mark in Carbis Bay in 2021 launching Ugly Butterfly. Using locally sourced, quality ingredients, diners can expect beautifully presented dishes which are packed full of flavour â complemented by one of the finest beachside views.
Spain comes to Cornwall with La Casita, a warm Spanish eatery. Expect tapas style dishes, delicious paella and sangria. If youâre looking for something a little more traditional then itâs tough to beat Beckâs Fish and Chips, who offer both a dine-in and takeaway service. Why not take them down to beach for the true Cornish experience. For another traditional option, The Cornish Arms is a charming pub, youâll find all the pub classics on the menu and a welcoming atmosphere.
The Bean Inn is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant and their plates are always full of colour. They also offer a takeaway and meal kit service. Una Kitchen has something delicious to offer whatever your palate. With a Mediterranean-inspired menu, from the freshest fish to wood-fired pizzas itâs bound to be a hit.
How to get here:
- Driving -
If driving, you can either take the motorway (M5) to Exeter, or take the more scenic A303 route (this does tend to build traffic, particularly during the summer months). With either route youâll end up on the A30, the dual carriageway that runs across Cornwall. For Carbis Bay, you need the A3074 to reach your destination.
- Rail -
The train is an option too. It is probably faster and easier to take a train from London Paddington, or Birmingham or Bristol, on the line to Penzance, changing at St Erth station for Carbis Bay. Itâll take you between 5-6 hours, which is similar to driving.
- Flying -
If you wanted to fly, the nearest airport is Newquay Airport, but itâs almost an hour away. Flying time from London to Newquay is approximately 1 hour 10 minutes.
Where to park:
There is no dedicated parking with the house but guests are able to unload and load their vehicle in front of the property. There is a car park opposite the property which is free and available to access.
Further free parking options are also available within a short walking distance.
While out and about, there is one small car park by the beach, but as you can imagine itâs always very busy. Porthrepta car park is run by Cornwall Council, thereâs 180 parking spaces, but there is a 5-10 minute steep walk down to the beach so itâs not suitable for all.
Another option is to make use of the park and ride system during the peak months and park at either St Erth (the beginning of the St Ives Bay Line) or at Lelant Saltings station (with over 500 parking spaces between 2 car parks). Youâll need to buy a parking ticket and a train ticket. The trains run about every half hour and is a wonderfully scenic journey.
