Our two-bedroom apartment is located off the historic courtyard at our 17th century Georgian town house. The entrance is down the long-forgotten cobbled Post Office Lane, in the centre of Tavistock, Devon.
The beautiful fabric of the original âStables & Sculleryâ, on the original street level of Tavistock has been preserved, while guests can relax in modern comforts, luxury and charm; a presence of the original Courtyard, Stables and Scullery remains.
The uniqueness of our accommodation is there for all to see as, the two bedrooms have been lovingly converted from a courtyard, stables and scullery into luxury appointed accommodation spaces, decorated and furnished in an eccentric and bohemian style.
Each bedroom contains a comfortable double bed with White Company bedding, console table, two reading chairs, a radio and wifi, and has been designed to ensure that no detail has been missed. There is a 32" smart TV in one of the bedrooms for use with TV apps and your own TV stick.
Within the internal courtyard, there is a small practical kitchenette with fridge, kettle, toaster and hot plate to prepare your own breakfast from the pantry foods supplied or to plate up your local takeaway suppers. There is a well appointed shower room, with fluffy towels and Nealâs Yard toiletries in the internal courtyard.
Our two-bedroom holiday let is ideal for families or groups of friends looking to relax, bringing all your guests together in informal surroundings.

Welcome to The Garden Apartment at One Drake Road, a characterful two-bedroom retreat in the heart of Tavistock, newly refreshed with bold colour, hand-painted detail and layers of warmth and charm.
Tucked beneath the main townhouse, this self-contained space blends cottage comfort with creative flair. Think rustic beams, stone floors, and vibrant walls in Marmelo orange, mustard and blush pink ~ all softened with new textured rugs, patterned curtains and fresh linens. Every corner tells a story, from the hand-finished beams in the main bedrooms to the vintage âCircusâ signs that glow by the fires.
The open-plan living areas feature two cosy sitting zones, perfect for curling up with a book or a glass of wine. Both bedrooms are styled with quality bedding, cushions and florals ~ one with a statement blue headboard and another with a patchwork of botanical prints, each bringing its own personality and calm.
The shower-room offers a generous rainfall shower with patterned tile flooring, complemented by soft towels and greenery. The adjoining kitchenette and bar area, finished in cheerful red and yellow, opens to a small private courtyard â ideal for morning coffee or evening drinks.
