This VRBO is a lovely historic house on India Street, a half a block from the center of town. The host, whose family has owned the property for generations, has kept it in perfect order with updated bathrooms, A/C, and luxurious
beds, and linens. To top it all off, breakfast is served every morning in the dining room from 8 to 10.
Old world hospitality at its best!
Quaint historic home, located near shopping and many restaurant options. The staff was courteous, attentive, and a pleasure to interact with. The breakfast served each morning was fresh and nicely presented and gave us the opportunity to meet and enjoy the company of other guests.
My wife & I went for long weekend to visit our daughter, who is working in Nantucket for the summer.
Forrest & Giuseppe were awesome - no exaggeration. Our flight arrived early - so they made sure our room was cleaned early so we could check-in as early as possible - and allowed us to store our bags early as well.
Our departure flight was delayed - they made us feel welcomed and accommodated us for the extra night. Breakfast was very good - beautiful dining room - fresh fruit and other fresh food daily for bkfst.
29 India House is in a great location - 2 blocks from downtown Main Street - lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Nice courtyard - and they even made sure we had everything we needed no matter where we were.
Highly recommend staying at 29 India House.
Lovely hosts who made our 2 night visit very comfortable!
We stayed at 29India for 2 nights. Our hosts were very charming and kind as well as knowledgeable about Nantucket history and made our stay very comfortable. The property is quiet, very comfortable bed, ample breakfast and coffee included, a nice garden open to guests and walkable to and from the ferry dock and the restaurants in town. We would definitely consider booking again when we return to Nantucket.
We purchased tickets to see the Revivalists at the Chicken Box and then built the rest of our visit to Nantucket. We were late to the party and so we didnât have too many choices on places to stay. This property stood out both in terms of amenities and location and didnât disappoint. Our hosts were in constant communication, full of information and very accommodating - to include letting us use the yard for some private yoga instruction. Highly recommend!!
We had an amazing stay at 29 India House! The accommodations were top notch. The host, Forrest, is very kind! He made us feel right at home. We would highly recommend staying at this bed & breakfast on Nantucket.
We had a great stay at this charming home. The location was excellent for walking all around town. Lots of extras like soap, shampoo, blow dryer, coffee in room, etc. Breakfast was a great spread of fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, nuts, hard boiled eggs, etc. The bed in our room was quite comfortable and the room was spacious. Our bed did squeak a little when we got in and out, but the linens and pillows were great. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
We arrived in Nantucket on a morning ferry and were met at the door by the owner who greeted us and related that our advance arrival information led to an early room clean and immediate occupancy. This service was greatly appreciated. Our 3 nights were very enjoyable. Location was close to downtown but quiet. Breakfasts were very healthy. Highly recommended
A wonderful stay at a charming B&B ideally located in town. An attentive staff and and super accommodations made for a delightful stay. I highly recommend India House!
Forrest, the property manager, was great and Giuseppe was very helpful. Room was all that was advertised and very comfortable.
Breakfasts were good, including great conversations. We would highly recommend to everyone.
Super location and historic family home-turned-B&B
Forrest was a wonderful host, and very thoughtful in every way âproviding a nice breakfast, friendly and intelligent conversation, and even alike of Nantucket rain slickers when it turned grey outside. The house is a real character in its own right, full of historic charm and just right for two people on a last minute 35th anniversary trip. The location is unbeatable, steps from The Bean, shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay here very much.
