Forrest and Giuseppe were amazing hosts. They are friendly, helpful, and so kind, and we felt at home. Forrest will offer some history on the place as well, if you're interested. Check-in and check-out were so easy and no fuss. We stayed in the studio which was more than enough room for two adults. The studio and the property in general are clean and well maintained. They also provided us an air filter for use in the studio due to allergies, etc. Breakfast is light and easy and perfect for what we needed. Giuseppe was so accommodating and set us up to have coffee and our breakfast out on the porch/patio. Quiet and efficient A/C in the studio. They offer umbrellas, beach chairs, and beach towels. There is a lovely backyard where you can sit and relax. The location is just a couple of blocks from the main downtown area, but super quiet. We would definitely stay here again.
We had the best stay in Nantucket at this lovely bed and breakfast. Very easy to check in and out, a very organized process. Delightful hosts Comfortable beds and an ideal location in town.Would highly recommend!
We relaxed and shopped and ate great food. 29 India house was the prefect base camp for us. The ambiance and warmth of the host made us feel very cared about.
This home is in an ideal location, and it was so easy to walk to world-class restaurants, shopping, etc. Forrest was charming and added so much to the stay!
Forrest and Giuseppe were welcoming and helpful hosts! The room was as advertised and location can't be beat! We had a great time at Daffy Weekend and will be back soon! Thanks again!
This place was perfect for 4 of us, amazing location and able to walk wherever. Forrest was very helpful with great communication - made us feel at home right away!
Forrest was a wonderful host and communicated well in advance of our stay Once there, we enjoyed a very comfortable accommodation and delightful breakfast before heading out each day.
Not a problem for us, but steep curved stairways were classic of a historic home, but may limit guests with limited mobility.
The studio suite at 29 India house was perfect for our sisters getaway. The location cannot be beat - just steps for downtown but on a quiet street. Forrest and his team were wonderful hosts, always ready to answer our curiosity about island history, restaurant and beach suggestions and anything else. Our room was cool (I was a little worried about the heat and a third floor unit) after a day in the sun, our beds were comfortable and all the right amenities. We took advantage of the âmake yourself at homeâ approach and used the chaises in the back yard, the beach towels and the shady side deck for an evening beverage. We had a later flight home on a rainy day but were welcomed to read in the library while we waited - no stress on how to fill those last few hours which was so appreciated. You will love your time here - we sure did!
Most Friendly and Accommodating Stay in a long time
Forrest (Owner) and Giuseppe were extremely accommodating when we arrived a bit early. The room and bed were great, the house was inviting and breakfast was an unexpected treat. Location was perfect, what can I say? Will stay there again when we return.
We loved staying here! The charming home was built in the 1700s and is perfectly located for walking around town or biking to the beach. Forrest and Giuseppe were lovely and thoughtful hosts who provided breakfast and beach items.
This beautiful eclectic home is in the heart of Nantucket! Walk to Everything! Shops, restaurants, beaches, dock. The hosts were awesome very hospitable, informative and provided a beautiful breakfast every morning.
Wonderful all around!
We had a wonderful stay at 29 India House. Our room was spacious and clean. Forrest was wonderful - extremely informative, friendly and accommodating (even with flight delays!). You cannot beat the location! I would highly recommend India House and look forward to my return!
My son (15) and I visited Nantucket for the 4th of July and this room was perfect for our stay. The location was close to downtown, but far enough away from the crowds. We really enjoyed our visit!
I didn't think I was a "B & B person" but I stayed here twice this summer and LOVED it. The owner Forrest is lovely, and the home is beautiful. It is filled with Nantucket antiques - real antiques - and little collections. It is clean, quiet, and in an amazing location - it is right in town, a quick walk from the ferry. Forrest is generous and warm and I believe he said he was the fourth generation of his family to run the B&B. It feels like you are staying in the home of distant, intelligent, wealthy relatives who are available if you like but will let you do your own thing if you prefer. Much to my surprise, I liked chit-chatting at breakfast with the other guests. I will definitely stay here again.
