Property description said she spoke English, she does not. We communicated our location as we got close after 22 hours of travel and arrived at the building 6:10 pm for check in, where the provided code for a key box did not work, so we wrote on WhatsApp, she came down to the building main door and was visibly upset. Marcella took us to the apt, spent 5 minutes showing us, put keys on the table and left. We had difficulty making the keys work, so we messaged her. She went on a WhatsApp tirade. Message after message. Escalating to where she told us to get out and refunded 600, writing:I am cancelleria know the reservation (7 pm), Go Away (7:04 pm)Marcella offered a chance for us to stay at her Lecce apartment, using a form of bribery / extortion after i missed her trying to call me on the phone (i was shaking and had difficulty swiping to answer her call once i realized it was ringing while on vibrate only):"only if you write on the vrbo platform that you apologize because you were very rude and argumentative while the host was so kind to wait for you and welcome you. That for the entire stay you will never behave in this way again." (7:15 pm)We did not respond to that and would not help her with a false positive review. She canceled for "broke house rules". Marcella then returned to the room. We put the keys on the table, took our luggage, left quietly. We had no place to stay for 8 days.
