Our second year at The Crowâs Nest for Veteranâs Day weekend and we couldnât have enjoyed it more! Marjorie is welcoming, accommodating, ready to answer any question you may have. Her home is spotless, comfortable, and very convenient to downtown. We will be back!
Very clean, quiet, fully equipped, comfortable beds, excellent location a short walk from all the shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor. We even walked to Acadia! Everything worked. Check in and out SO easy. We had no need to contact Marge, but she was lovely when we had a chance to chat with her.
Marge was a wonderful host. We had everything we needed. Great location. Close to Acadia and easy walk to town for shopping and restaurants. We stayed here in 2009. Hope we can return.
Our family of 5 (including 3 teens) had a great time at the Crows' Nest. It was the perfect location for access to Acadia and walking into town for all the things Bar Harbor. We grilled dinner on the porch, enjoyed our coffee in the chairs in the front, and walked the shore path frequently. What makes this home so special is the LOVE from the owner. Her hospitality is unmatched. She is not your typical VRBO host. She's personable, responds, has suggestions, welcomes you into her home, and you feel the connection and love in all of the details. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and makes for an easy place to cook and prep your own meals. The Crow's Nest is a special place. We fell in love with Bar Harbor and Maine!
Great location for visit to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Hiking, biking and driving the scenic Park Loop Rd. in Acadia is literally minutes away by car and when we needed to take a break from the outdoor adventures, good restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream shops, and shopping were only a few blocks away by foot. The house was one of the best stocked rentals we have ever stayed in, there were even coolers and lawn chairs provided in the shed that we used for picnics on our outdoor adventures. We did not need the owner for anything during our stay, but we did see her a couple of times and she was very nice. Overall, a great experience and one of the best located rental houses we have ever stayed in. We would happily stay here again if we ever visit this part of Maine again.
Margie goes out of her way to make you feel at home. Close to everything from downtown to Acadia National Park walkinh distance to the Harbor. Our family had an amazing time.
As busy ladies and mother's, time to ourselves is rare. We spent the weekend in Bar Harbor and the Crow's Nest was perfect. It had a homey feel, perfect location and everything we needed to get away even for a short time. Would definitely stay there again.
Marjorie is the nicest host weâve ever stayed with. Her accommodations are charming, very clean, well maintained with comfortable bed linens and towels. Itâs such a great location, walk all over town, take a seaside stroll, and an easy drive to Acadia!
Host was incredibly hospitable and the rental was very clean, comfortable, and you canât beat the location. Across the street is a beautiful playground, baseball fields, skate park, and YMCA. Coffee shops and restaurants all within a 3-10 min walk. The Shore Path along the water is a very short walk. Just canât beat the location if you have a small family.
The Crowâs Nest is so warm and comfortable! Not modern, but classic and has everything you might need. Love the vintage tile and skylight in the upstairs bathroom (made it feel like you are showering in a tree house!). Margie is an excellent host with great communication. Short walk to downtown shops and restaurants, and on the ârightâ side of town to access Acadia quickly. Loved our stay, thank you, Margie!
This is a well kept, cute historic home! We found the location in Bar Harbor to be convenient for walking and getting to Acadia. The house itself is clean and well stocked with linens and the kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots, and pans, etc. We had no issues with the property and were able to cook our own breakfasts and even use the grill. We didn't have a reason to contact the property owner, but the property was exactly as described and check-in very easy!
We enjoyed our stay so much, mostly because of our new friendship with Marge! She was a great neighbor and host, who answered questions and gave good advice when we asked. The house is older, with lots of charm. Showers are a little small, but we knew that before we booked, because of other reviewers. That wouldn't stop us from staying again and giving this VRBO a perfect review! Thanks for the memories, Marge!
Marge's home has it all. The location is perfect. The home itself is warm and welcoming. Marge's touches, her written suggestions, and her availability made for an stress-free week. We will be back!
We absolutely loved our stay at Margie's Cozy Cottage! It was clean, well cared for and in a perfect location! The half mile stroll along Main street allowed for us to see all dining options, listen to live music, have access to bike rentals, as well as the shops and Bar Harbor. She supplied games, area "things to do" pamphlets, restaurant recommendations and Maine blueberry soda and jam as a special treat. We would highly recommend Margie's property and would love to come back in the future! Thanks Margie!
We loved everything about our stay. Marge was extremely helpful before and during our trip and had excellent recommendations that we took advantage of. The house is great for a family. We had 4 adults and 2 kids. It's an easy walk downtown and to a bunch of restaurants. Highly recommended!
Crow's Nest is our very favorite place to stay in Bar Harbor! After many family trips to MDI over the past decade, this lovely home is the only place we have stayed multiple years (and in the years we didn't often because it was already booked or we had a larger group). It is a perfect home base for exploring the island and Acadia. Location is great - convenient but also a bit away from the busyness of the downtown area. Easy walks to town and the ocean, and the farmer's market right across the street is a special treat. Marge is a warm and thoughtful host, and she is always generous in her suggestions of wonderful, less known spots. We can't wait to go back!
This was a wonderful rental. The location is perfect. Very close walk to downtown Bar Harbor while still being quiet. We really enjoyed touring Acadia National Park during the day and walking up through town in the evenings to enjoy a meal, ice cream or beverage. Marge was a great host. The kitchen has every thing you would need, even spices, etc. Welcome treats was a really nice gesture. My only complaint is the WIFI. This was not a hardship for me, just would not be a properly you could remote work from.
This home worked well for us. Marge has several nice touches that were very helpful. The location was perfect. Renters should know that the WiFi was weak and briefly dropped out at times. None-the-less, a great place if you want quaint and functional.
Marjorie's home is comfortable and has all the basic needs covered. She has it well supplied with kitchen basics so we could cook in as much as we wanted and the living room area was cozy and comfortable for evenings of games or TV. It is a small home but in a great location a half block off of Main Street, Bar Harbor. Easy access to Acadia National Park. The upstairs bedrooms are under sloped eaves which makes it charming, but taller people will feel that in the tub/shower. Perfect for kids, however. The living space is comfortable and the kitchen has plenty of room to maneuver. The only complaint is that the wifi was a bit slow and weak, but we were there for the beautiful area and activities so we got over that quickly!!
