Main Description Victoria Hut is an off-grid haven that offers an escape from technology while indulging in the luxury of your very own private wood-fired hot tub - true glamping! Within the hut, there's a double bed, sofa and a gas hob for basic cooking needs. An opportunity to enjoy 'camping' with the luxury of a comfortable bed and hot showers.
Included in your stay is a private wood-fired hot tub (logs supplied) Approx 30 meters from the hut is your allocated private heated shower and toilet, with towels and toiletries supplied Right outside the hut, a table and chairs for alfresco dining Your own fire-pit equipped with a grill – perfect for BBQs For your entertainment, there's a selection of books, board games, and a radio Solar power runs the fridge and lights, and the wood burner keeps you warm on cooler nights (logs included) Off-road parking for one car Arrivals on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays, minimum stay 2 nights One medium dog or 2 small dogs welcome for supplement of £10 per dog. Dog bed and bowls can be provided.
Full English or continental breakfast hampers, and/or BBQ packs, can be ordered directly from the owner, at an additional cost.
The orchard is approx 2 acres and there is another Shepherd's hut and a Yurt (each sleeping 2 guests) in the orchard. Each unit is intentionally spaced apart with tactful screening to ensure privacy, and each unit has it's own private, lockable toilet/shower room and its own hot tub.
Indoor Description Victoria Hut comprises a comfortable double bed with bed linen provided. The kitchenette area inside the hut has a gas hob for basic cooking and cooking equipment, cutlery, crockery and glasses are provided. The fridge and lights are solar powered. The wood-burner heats the hut up really well, to keep you warm on cooler nights (logs included). There is no running water in the hut, but mains tap (drinking) water is available in the nearby facilities building with shared washing up area. The toilet and hot shower is located outside the hut, in the facilities building, approx 30 metres away. Each Hut has a private and lockable toilet/shower room. Towels and toiletries are included. Each unit has it's own allocated toilet/shower room.
There is no wi-fi, but mobile phone and 4G signal is good on most networks.
Outdoor Description A private hot tub, heated by wood fire, awaits just outside the Victoria Hut, it will be warmed ready for your arrival. Adjacent to it, an outdoor dining area with a pair of chairs invites you to enjoy your meals in the open air, while your personal fire-pit equipped with a grill stands ready for BBQ-ing and keeping you cosy on cooler evenings. The hot tub logs are provided. The owner offers locally sourced charcoal on-site for an extra fee for use in the fire-pit/BBQ.

Nestled within the orchard is another Shepherd's Hut and a Yurt, each can accommodate 2 guests, and they are thoughtfully spaced apart, featuring screening to offer privacy. The orchard is open for all to enjoy, however it is expected that everyone should respect the privacy and space of others on the site and keep dogs (if bringing them) under control at all times.
Situated in the exquisite Porlock Vale, you're just a short distance from the beach, stunning woodlands, moors, and the charming village of Porlock. This village offers a variety of shops, restaurants, and pubs, all within approximately 1.5 miles' reach.
Parking A designated off-road parking space for a single car is available at the orchard's periphery, providing convenient access to the hut - just a brief stroll across the orchard.
Pets Description One medium or two small dogs permitted per booking, for supplement of £10 each. Please note, the area around the hut is not enclosed, the 2-acre orchard is shared with another Shepherd's Hut and a Yurt (each sleeping two guests and allowing up to two dogs). You are expected to keep your dog/s under your control at all times.
