Cottage Coachman est situé dans exceptionnelle de randonnées, pour les plus énergiques il ya côtière, bois et landes promenades servis par un réseau de superbes sentiers près de la porte! Cottage Coachman offre un refuge de luxe unique pour les couples recherchant une retraite paisible sur la côte; Il a une sensation très lumineux et spacieux, en bas se trouve la cuisine avec salle à manger, d'un salon séparé avec fenêtres du sol au plafond, salle de bain avec douche dans la baignoire. La porte de la cuisine se ouvre directement dans une cour privée fortifiée, offrant l'endroit idéal pour manger en plein air. A l'étage la chambre bénéficie d'une vue superbe sur le jardin, Porlock Vale, à la mer et au-delà.

My girlfriend and I had a lovely stay in David and Nicky's cottage. Lots of love has gone into this place, it's obvious either they've stayed in it themselves or they've listened very closely to feedback. David and Nicky were super nice and made sure we had what we needed. Very clean, incredibly well equipped kitchen, lots of heating options including central, floor in the bathroom and wood burner in the sitting room. Comfy bed with awesome view towards the sea. Well positioned near Porlock which is a nice village (we much preferred to the larger seaside towns) and lots of awesome walks nearby - all the ones in the booklet were great. The nearby area has lots of woodland which we preferred for walking to the other areas of Exmoor (which are still beautiful). Lastly if you don't have a dog (we don't) and aren't dog people (I'm not) then don't worry, there's absolutely no doggie smells and no barking nearby! In fact it's super quiet and we slept with the window open. Highly recommended!

Introduction to that coastline for us .We had some lovely walks around Exmoor as well as visits to Dunster, Minehead ,Lynton, Watchet, Steart Marshes and Quantocks. Really recommend the Lynton Cinema, what a great place. Hosts were lovely. Thanks very much.

Brilliant for dogs outstanding area, lovely local pub (Top Ship) with great food and excellent service,very welcoming.Also bottom Ship at Porlock Weir really very good.The Cottage had everything,very spacious for two people. Clean and tidy,added extras such as tea,coffee kitchen towel most welcome not forgetting bottle of wine! Owners not in your face but there if you needed them.Also the Orchard was a lovely added bonus for us to exercise our dog before we started our walk for the day straight from the door no real need for the car.Beautiful Church at Culborn, lovely walk to the church. Minehead a bus ride away.Local shops for provisions spar plus local butcher,all very helpful.

Could not find fault with this lovely cottage, our host was charming and very helpful. We stayed in January and were very cosy and and warm even at minus 3! Panoramic views out to sea and Wales, very quiet with access to the Coleridge Way through the owners orchard, giving access to many walks. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We didn’t need to use the car very much as there were a multitude of great walks straight from the doorstep. Lovely, friendly hosts and good pub (the Ship) just down the lane. We loved it. Lovely well equipped cottage in beautiful location , amazing views ,secure courtyard and added bonus of a lovely paddock (very popular with our Spaniel )behind the cottage which also has access to the Coleridge Way. 10 to 15 min walk into Porlock with many very dog friendly pubs and tea rooms.So many walks to choose from in area wether you want to drive or walk from your doorstep. Our third visit and will not our last .

Local walks from the house join coastal paths to Bossingham, Portland and Port Weir. No need to take car out . Very welcome to make use of flower meadow/paddock to the back of cottage. Benches dotted around enable you to enjoy the fabulous views that surround the cottage. Tranquil spot to wake up to in the morning and enjoy in the evening. Plenty of places to visit within a short distance: Doncaster, Lynford and Lynton , West Somerset Steam Railway. Fabulous area for a holiday Exmoor is breathtakingly beautiful.

It is tastefully decorated and thoughtfully equipped to a high standard, and had everything we needed to help make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The cottage is in a quiet location and is perfectly situated for walking. There are plenty of walks from the door, with the South West Coastal Path and the Coleridge Way both easily accessible.

Lovely place to have a great break . The cottage is nice and cosy and very comfortable bed. The shower over the bath was very good quality ( not like some places). There are lots of hanging points for wet gear and dog towels. The enclosed courtyard at the front is great to let the dog out in without supervision, and there is a lovey orchard/field at the back for sitting out in or running the dog free. Locally the whole area is very dog and walk orientated. The pubs and tearooms don't mind if you are in walking gear. In fact we didn't need any posh clothes at all, we lived in walking boots and wellies for the dog walks . The scenery is amazing locally with lots of hilly or flat walks.

The bed was very comfortable with good quality sheets and blankets. WiFi was plenty strong enough, and Internet speed was good. Excellent and comfortable furniture throughout. Dogs welcome and amply catered for by the enclosed courtyard out front, and orchard at the back. Highly recommended.

It is a lovely cottage, with all the facilities you could want or need. The bed is very comfy and the central heating kept the whole place warm. On a clear night you can see the Milky Way just by stepping out of the front door, a perfect place to see the stars in a very dark sky. Lovely countryside all around with walks straight from the cottage and further afield.

Porlock Weir is a picturesque harbour village on the Exmoor National Park coastline in Somerset, with a history stretching back to the 15th century. The small tidal harbour, with its ancient lock gates and pebble beach, sits at the heart of a thriving community.



You'll find a welcoming pub, restaurants ranging from relaxed dining to Michelin-listed Italian cuisine, cosy cafes, and a popular street food takeaway -- all within walking distance of the harbour. Independent shops and galleries line the lanes, including Exmoor Glass, the Harbour Gallery, and Porlock Bay Oysters, which opened expanded premises in 2024.



The larger village of Porlock is approximately one mile away and has a broader range of amenities including grocery shops, a traditional butcher, chemist, cash machine, hardware shop, visitor centre, and a selection of independent restaurants and tea rooms. Most shops in Porlock and Porlock Weir keep hours of 9am to 5pm, often extending during the summer season.



Porlock Weir was recently used as a filming location for The Salt Path, the adaptation of Raynor Winn's bestselling memoir about walking the South West Coast Path.
