We loved the cabin, the community and Roslyn was so much fun. Very clean and comfortable but wifi would have made planning activities, communicating with the owner, and traveling with teenagers much easier.
The property was just as advertised. It fit our party of 4 adults and 3 children well. The kids enjoyed the loft. The owner was quick to respond when questions came up. Would stay again, we had a great time.
We had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend at this cozy and charming cabin in Cle Elum. It was a peaceful spot for spending quality time with family, and we really enjoyed getting outside, kayaking on Cle Elum Lake was a favorite, and Cooper Lake made for a beautiful little day trip. We also had fun exploring nearby towns, which were full of character and so fun to stroll through. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. While we couldnât quite find the right trail for a hike this time, there was still plenty to do outdoors and around the area.Just a couple of kind suggestions: the carpet in the living room area was a bit slippery, so adding something underneath might help with stability. And while the cabin had a cozy, lived-in feel, a deeper cleaning between stays would help it feel a bit fresher. Overall, we had a lovely experience and would definitely consider coming back!
We were attending a concert at the gorge which was about an hour out. This location was great. Gave us the opportunity to relax at the lake instead of just going up for the concert. I didnât notice a few things in the booking, which werenât bad, but may not have booked otherwise; No AC and no wifi/service. The house was nicely shaded and we felt fine leaving the dogs there but bring a fan to help stay cool. We didnât mind the no tv, it was nice to unplug but no wifi was tough. Didnât love the thought of not being able to contact people if something were to happen.
Other than that, great stay. Would go back as a couples getaway.
My friends and I had a wonderful time at this cabin. It was cozy, but fit us 8 just well enough. We spent most of the time just playing board games when we werenât going hiking or swimming at the lakeâwhich I highly recommend!
I want so badly to give this family cabin a good review as I've spent many years visiting Pine Loch Sun, but I'm afraid I can't.
This location is fantastic, and this is a very charming and cozy cabin but there are many things that will prevent me from renting again. The listing is not accurate and the owner communication wasn't good. This is a 2 bedroom cabin, plus loft... not a 3 bedroom as described. It was very small for my family of 5 and it is also VERY overpriced. Directions were not provided and Google maps took us to two wrong locations. The cabin was 44 degress when we arrived and there was no manual to help us figure out how to heat the place (which took over 6 hours to warm up). The shampoo "provided", as advertised, was a tiny and old bottle likely taken from a hotel room many many years ago. The dresser drawers were not clean (and no hangars provided in the armoire), there were glass bottles and cobwebs in the loft, and mildew on the shower curtain. There was no laundry detergent even though washer/dryer is advertised. We were not allowed to leave ANY trash (even for a 3-night stay). We had to pay a huge refundable deposit (which I had to ask to be returned) plus I was required to purchase insurance for the reservation. Overall, I think this could be a great property if expectations were properly set, some of the above items were addressed, a renter's manual was provided, and the price was reduced.
If you are looking for a fun little cabin near Ronald and Lake Cle Elum book now! Clean, cozy and great location. Communication with owners was excellent. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay and especially enjoyed spending the day at the Speedyi Access at the Cle Elum lake. We also enjoyed shopping in Roslyn and Cle Elum. At the house the fireplace was great and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the morning. Thanks for a nice stay!
We just sold our cabin 5 months ago and needed a place to stay close to friends. This place was charming!!! Lots of room for such a little cabin. There were 2 bedrooms and 2 queens in the loft. Everyone had a place to call their own.
Clean and cozy cabin perfect for a small group. Has a family feel with board games to play and family photos on the wall. Short drive to town. There was barely any cell service, but you can drive down the road to get it. Scott and Melinda respond quickly to messages and were easy to work with. Great weekend getaway!
My family stayed at the cabin for a weekend during the winter. The cabin was well-stocked with the basics. It was cozy warm. Great location near Lake Cle Elum, historic Roslyn, and Cle Elum. Conveniently located just north of I90 in the foothills of the Cascade mountains. The hosts were accessible by phone when needed and they were very helpful.
We had been looking for a cabin rental to pop up in the Pineloch Sun area. As soon as this cabin showed up, it was very easy to connect with the owner and make our reservation.
When we arrived, lights, fireplace, and fan were on, creating a welcoming ambience to greet us. Everything was spotless. The owners left a wonderful gift basket and included items for our young son to enjoy. Very thoughtful!
The place has so much character -- loved all the details! We really enjoyed all of the pictures of the family on the board. You could see the history of the cabin and all of the fun memories made in the past.
We loved that we could snowmobile straight from the cabin to some great trails and that it wasnât far to the Last Resort Restaurant for a great dinner. We made a lot of memories and definitely recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle!
Scott and his family were very accommodating. The cabin is clean and the area is top notch. The cabin is nestled in the trees which keeps you away from the wind and all of the neighbors were very friendly. Very close to golf, fishing, floating, small town and nightlife. Thanks for the weekend away!
The Danubio family came from Italy. Great Grandpa worked on the Trans Continental Railroad, which ultimately brought him to Cle Elum WA where he ended up working in the coal mines. They gave birth to John (Flash) Danubio. John (Pa Pa John) and Evelyn (Grandma) purchased this property in 1969. Grandma Danubio wanted a chalet like the ones she saw on their trip to Switzerland. In 1970 the master bedroom and bathroom was built as the original cabin. That is why the walls in the master bedroom are slanted. Its to keep the snow off the side of the house. Later, they built the addition which consists of the kitchen, fireplace, loft and back bedroom and bath. This happened in the mid 70s. Since that time there have been a few upgrades and new appliances added. We have tried our best to keep the cabin in the original condition as Pa Pa and Grandma Danubio would have wanted it. Grandma Danubio was a teacher and her rules were to never have TV in the cabin. Everyone had to either play outside, or read books, and play games. At 5:00 She always rang the bell located outside on the tree to let everyone know it was happy hour. That is when she would serve up drinks. There is a lot of memories and love here. We have enjoyed this cabin going on 4 generations. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Location, location, location!!! It doesn't get any better than this. Great Value for the outdoor enthusiast. Not only do you have room to park your "toys", You have access to miles and miles of snowmobile trails in the winter, or trails for your dirt bikes in the spring, summer, and fall. You are across the street from Lake Cle Elum where you can launch your boat, jet ski's or kayaks off from the Speelyi Beach Boat Launch. Or you can spend the day at the local attractions: The Old No. 3, The Brick, Cooper Lake, Hiking, Shopping, and Suncadia.
