We had a great time in the house. We had plenty of room and supplies we needed. We did have one issue. The stairs were very slippery. Even with the handrail my daughter slipped on the top stairs and landed on her back. They need some kind of slip proof put on.
renting this for our large family get together. Half the family stayed here and found it perfect for kids. The beach was perfect for all. Little ones and the ones who paddle boarded. Mike was very helped and responded quickly to questions.
The lodge accommodated our family of 8 adults, plenty of space well stocked in cooking items. Quiet neighborhood. Located not far from Rosland and Cle Elum. Will be considering our next family get together at this property.
We had four generations of family members come from all over the state of Washington to meet for a family gathering. This was a great place to come together. Pros: The kitchen was perfect to accommodate large groups during eating and the living room space allowed us all to hang out while some were watching TV and others playing games. The outdoor area was enjoyable and plenty of extra chairs for those that didnât bring one. Cons: The beds are a little hard if you like a soft bed. Many of us had trouble sleeping. And the only other downfall is the number bathrooms. When all of us were hanging out downstairs the one bathroom got quite busy! Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would come back again. You just canât beat the price compared to some of the other places. It is affordable!
Fantastic getaway spot for groups. My biggest rental pet peeve is when hosts shove as many beds in as possible so they can advertise high occupancy, but then there's absolutely nowhere in the space for that many people to gather and spend time together/eat, etc. This place is not that! Lots of common space to sit and chat or make food together. Very well-stocked kitchen for cooking meals. Overall extremely reminiscent of a church basement/fellowship hall- that's not a positive or a negative, just an observation made independently by several of our group!
I will say that the property is a little rough around the edges with some exposed wires and missing baseboards, but we don't travel with children, so not a concern for us. One other piece of feedback- I recognize that it's important to make sure guests know their linens are cleaned before their stay, but after driving in from Seattle after a long week, putting sheets my own bed before I can get into it is very low on my list of things I'd like to do for vacation.
Mike was super responsive the very few times I needed to get in touch, and that's much appreciated. Would definitely stay again!
Absolutely gorgeous location - close to the lake, hiking trails, but still a short drive from town if you need. The property was very large and well able to handle our family get together: the large kitchen and table was perfect and the living room very cozy. Our family had members that couldn't come last minute so we could fit comfortably downstairs, but there was an entire kitchenette and second living room upstairs for groups that need the space.
Thus was a 5th year at the cabin hosting children grandchildren (adults) and great grandchildren. Some came home for Christmas from Texas and Arkansas . Everyone else different locations in Wa. Centralized location
Great place for a weekend getaway with family and friends. The house stayed decently cool even though it was 100 degrees outside. The house comes with a fully stocked kitchen to serve a large crowd.
The one downside was that ants were a problem in the house.
We booked this property for a ladies retreat for our church. There was 11 of us. We had plenty of room for everyone to relax and sleep comfortably. The location was great and access to the lake was easy. The beds are firm but comfortable. We did notice the showers needed to be cleaned better and the dishes weren't cleaned well (I am assume by previous guests). Overall every one of us was happy with our stay both inside the house and the location. It was easy to find and the communication with the host was great.
This property has a huge yard and great amenities for kids!
Our families got to meet here for a weekend and it was close to the lake and town.
The kids enjoyed it and it had everything we needed!
Would highly recommend and stay again!
I purchased this property with my brother as a place where our families and friends could all stay in one house while snowmobiling or boating. It is only 1 1/2 hours from Yakima, where we live, as well as Seattle, which makes it a perfect place for a weekend getaway.
My brother and I grew up in Toppenish, WA snowmobiling and boating. We bought it from my sister in law's aunt and uncle in 2000 and have been enjoying it ever since!
It is a very large 2 story 5 bedroom cabin on 1 1/2 acres of property. It's perfect for all seasons especially winter for snowmobiling and summer for boating. We hold many family reunions each summer since it has such a large yard, plenty of resin chairs & tables for outside seating, bedrooms and another 10 room motel within walking distance for overflow guests.
