This delightful apartment offers superb accommodation for guests to kick back and relax after exploring the Lakes. Superbly placed in a peaceful and elevated position above the village to take in the magnificent view of the Fells and glimpses of Lake Windermere.

In addition, this bijou apartment is at the start of the Dales Way walk and with direct access to many other public footpaths, plus a mere minutes stroll to the bars, restaurants and cafes in the picturesque village of Bowness on Windermere. Add in the variety of tourist attractions such as Windermere Lake Cruises or for those more adventurous, water activities…. the choice really is endless….

With a full refurbishment in 2021, this modern and cosy apartment is situated on the first floor and comprises of a hallway, double bedroom, bathroom with shower, lounge/ diner and kitchen. Perfect for couples to unwind in a fantastic location. We are sure you will love it as much as we do!

A little history on your accommodation, Annie's View is on the first floor of Spinnery Cottage and built in the traditional Lakeland style. In the late 19th and early 20th Century Spinnery Cottage formerly known as the Spinnery was one of the first spinning, weaving and embroidery workshops used by locally and internationally renowned designer Annie Garnett.

Perfect spot for a short stay

We spent New Year at Annie’s View . Beautifully appointed apartment. Fabulous views from the lounge . Right on the edge of the Dales Way for walking and close to Brantfell . We would recommend for two people. A little gem !

Perfect location, comfortable accommodation

By saying this was our third stay, you can tell we love this place. Just a couple of minutes walk from the bustle of Bowness, the tranquility of this place is amazing. Decorated to a high standard, furnished with everything you need, amazing views and close to walks, we don't consider staying anywhere else.

Great Stay

Annies View is a very clean and comfortable apartment,it has all necesary facilities and and is spacious enough for 2 people,it also has a good view down to the Lake.It was also value for money and i would highly recommend Annies View for a stay

Comfortable stay, would recommend

Comfortable accommodation in an excellent location. Only criticism is that the toilet seat needs replacing as it is stained underneath and doesn’t meet the standard of the rest of the apartment.

Very good

The hill walking up to Annie’s view a little steep four or 5 times a day . But keeps you fit. Apart from that very handy location.

Annie's View, great location, good facilities. But left wanting.

A lovely little place to stay in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere. In my opinion more could be made of Annie's view's history. Take down the generic art work of a New York USA scene in the lounge. Put up prints of the old photographs from the cottage's history as illustrated in the books supplied on the bookcase. Or some pictures up that are linked to the area. The cottage had great facilities. The shower cubicle needed a good clean as the tiles were full of mould & grime. Just lacked the attention it should deserve.

Given that it is most unusual to receive such comments for Annie’s View, we would like to think a one off, although we shall of course speak with the housekeeper responsible and advise the owners of all you have said – including your suggestions for the apartment. Thank you for letting us know and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. It is worth noting that had we been made aware at the time, we would have gladly arranged for the cleaner to return and put right any issues for you. We are just a phone call away and we want all guests to have a great stay in the Lake District. On a more positive note, we are pleased that you would recommend to others, thank you.

Perfekte Unterkunft

Die Lage der Wohnung ist perfekt um in Windermere und Umgebeung Urlaub zu machen. Ideal für 2 Personen. Alles wichtige ist zu fuß erreichbar. Die Kommunikation und der Check in Vorgang haben ohne Probleme funktioniert.
