A double door opens into the living area, with open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room. It offers a log burner and a well-equipped kitchen including dishwasher (along with a washer-dryer in the bathroom). At the other end of this single-storey cottage is the king size bedroom, with a large wardrobe and views over the fields. The bathroom has a double-end bath with rain shower.

The living area opens out onto the private courtyard garden with seating, BBQ and a fire pit, looking out over the countryside. This home offers underfloor heating throughout, for a warm and cosy stay.

From the door there are plentiful walks and picturesque landscapes to explore, with the bustling, ancient village of Mayfield just a couple of miles away along winding country lanes. Here there are good local shops and pubs, with large supermarkets available in Crowborough and Heathfield, both a 15-minute drive. For days out you can enjoy Bateman’s, Scotney Castle, Sheffield Park, Wadhurst village, and Bewl Water nearby provides a wide range of watersports fun along with Bedgebury Forest. The spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is 8 miles north, a great shopping and dining destination.

- Once you have placed your booking request, before we can process your booking we will require some simple additional details such as postal address, guest names and direct email. Please do not book if you are unable to provide this information, as we cannot offer a refund on this basis.
- Arrival and departure times are clearly stated. As our properties can be booked right up until the last minute, we are unable to confirm early check-in or late check-out requests until 24-72 hours prior to your arrival/departure. Should you prefer to guarantee any such request now, please add an additional night to the start and/or end of your booking.
- Pets: A maximum of 1 well-behaved dog is allowed at a cost of GBP25 per week or part week. If the charge is not taken by this platform we will contact you after booking to arrange.
- Kitchen facilities: single electric fan oven, 4 electric hobs, under counter fridge with ice compartment, slimline dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetière. Washer-dryer in bathroom cupboard.
- Iron, ironing board, clothes airer, hairdryer provided.

- Free private parking on the driveway next to the house, with space for 2 cars. The parking area is situated in front of the gate to a field, although unlikely it is possible that access may be required during your stay. If so then alternative parking will be provided approx. 30 metres from the cottage.
- EV Charger is a Zappi 7kW (payable on-site), this is installed at the owners’ house 30 metres away and usage times can be agreed with the owner in advance.
- One infant up to age 2 is welcome in addition to the total guest capacity of this property. 1 travel cot measuring 100x70x69cm (please bring bedding) and one highchair are available, must be requested in advance.

- Accessibility: this is a single-storey home (ground floor only). Two steps (15cm) over the front door threshold. Bathroom has a shower over bath, standard height bath.
