The Space:

La Cantina is full of Maltese features that you will fall in love with. The large stone slabs, the arch-ways, the cellars, the magnificent charm truly give a taste of what a country household in Malta was like - this home will take you back in time. Designed with comfort in mind, La Cantina comes fully equipped with everything you need to ensure an enjoyable stay full of authentic Maltese experiences. This Zzzing Home is recommended for groups, couples or large families who are looking to live in Malta’s village core. The property’s large open social spaces give guests a great opportunity to dine, relax and unwind together. The location is quiet, intriguing, full of so much charm& it’s really close to Malta’s capital city Valletta. The locals are friendly, there are a number of really cute vintage shops nearby as well as popular eateries including an award-winning restaurant specializing in Maltese cuisine.



The Cellars

The cosy games room in the cellars is the perfect balance of comfort and style, with room for everyone to socialize, watch TV and relax - a billiard table and table soccer will make your evenings fun. Smart TVs are all over the house and you can log in to your own Netflix account to continue to binge watch your favorite shows and movies if you desire. The Kitchen

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything to make your stay as easy as possible. There is: washing machine, oven, electric induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron, crockery, glasses, cutlery, pans and utensils.



The 4 bedrooms

All four bedrooms have an en-suite and are stylishly decorated and fitted with single or double beds, soft bed linens and fluffy towels. Each room has space to hang and store your clothes and a remote working station for full comfort.



The Roof Patios

The roof patios are a great place to enjoy the sunshine any time of the day. Our styling team has carefully curated a roof top lounge set-up for you to enjoy in Malta’s beautiful evenings. Whether you want to read a book, relax and enjoy a glass of local wine, (or taste Malta’s popular beer) indulge in a deep conversation with a loved one or stare at the stars, this magical roof top will quickly become your favorite space.



Parking

There are plenty of parking options located a short distance from the property. You will be able to park up temporarily and unload your belongings in front of the house but please note that you are not able to leave your car here as it is a narrow, one-way road. With everything so easily accessible by foot, it’s likely you won’t need to use the car much during your stay.



Guest Access:

Guests have exclusive access to the complete holiday home including the roof and the cellar.



The Neighborhood:

In Siġġiewi, not far from Mdina, the ancient capital city of Malta you can find the Inquisitor's summer palace dating back to 1625, whichis today the Maltese Prime Minister's official residence. Meanwhile, the Verdala Palace built by Grand Master de Verdalle in 1586, is the summer residence of the President of the Republic of Malta, with its beautiful Buskett forest lying below it.



Make sure to plan your visit in advance as you have tons to do without traveling more than 15mins by car, bus, or taxi. Hagar Qim, Mnajdra, Ghar Lapsi, L’Arka ta Noe, The Limestone Heritage Park & Gardens are just a few of our Zzzing team’s favourite places to visit. You can also enjoy a walk along the cliffs and admire the islet of Filfla on the horizon - Siggiewi is a brilliant choice for nature lovers, history enthusiasts and holiday makers of all types looking to create memorable experiences in the Maltese islands.



Getting Around:

The island’s compact size makes exploring charming towns and stunning coastal views easy, while ferry services connect you to nearby islands like Gozo and Comino. You can easily explore the islands of Malta by renting a car, taking a bus, or opting for a taxi, all of which are simple solutions. Our Guest Experience Team is available to assist in organizing and providing more information on these transportation options.



Other Things to Note:

Self‑Check‑In, Eco Tax & Guest Portal:

This is a self‑check‑in holiday home. Your unique access code will be available in your Guest Portal once the eco tax has been paid and your Self Check‑In Form completed. Codes activate at 3:00 PM, our official check‑in time. If you’d like to drop off luggage earlier, send us a quick message and we’ll confirm if it’s possible, depending on our cleaning schedule. This is a very popular holiday home and our housekeeping team needs 5–6 hours to prepare the property to a high standard, so your understanding is appreciated. Once your booking is confirmed, our Guest Experience Team will be in touch and you can choose your preferred way to communicate with us; our phone number is also available in the Guest Portal if you’d like to speak to someone directly.



Submitting your eco tax online:

Eco tax, in line with Malta’s Environmental Contribution regulations, must be paid securely via our online payment link before arrival. A secure payment link is sent to you upon booking confirmation. For a smooth arrival, we recommend submitting your payment on the day you book, so you can then complete your Self Check‑In Form and gain access to our Guest Portal to start planning your stay.
