Luxury Chic Apartment near Canary Wharf, Excel, O2 & Stratford
Stunning, 3 Bedroom Serviced Apartment, in Bow London E3/Zone 2. Great transport links into the city, Excel, Canary Wharf & Stratford and O2. All within 15 minutes commute. Beautifully decorated and has all the amenities.
Not being familiar with the vicinity we were apprehensive when we saw the entrance to the apartment. The apartment was okay. There were spots on the couch so I sent a picture to the owner to let them know we did not leave them. The neighborhood is extremely loud, we couldn't get to sleep until 2:30 am. We were on the first floor and couldn't open our windows for air because we didn't feel safe. They did have very small fans which didn't help. I would not stay here again.
I traveled with my 2 adult sons. The apartment has 3 bedrooms with solid doors that all lock. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed. There is a common sitting room and a well equipped kitchen with an adorable combination washing machine dryer (an appliance not seen in the US). While the apartment is in a 3-story apartment building, the space is just as the pictures indicate. The apartment block and the surrounding building a families. There is a primary school close by and the school shares a court/field with the complex, which is used in the evenings by the local men playing soccer. There's no issue with noise. Everything quiets down quickly after dark. We slept great. The half bath is tiny but appreciated with 3 adults traveling. There is a local pub called The Beehive. Great for a simple pint. And find Polentina! Great meal ! The apartment is a VERY easy walk to the Bromley-by-Bow Underground stop. Two lines service the station: Circle and Hammersmith. Straight shot into central London. And we took the Tube from Heathrow with one change to get to the apartment - with luggage. While you have to navigate stairs in the Tube stations, the walk from the Bromley-by-Bow station has ramps the whole way. There is a Sainsbury market at the Tube stop. They had everything we neededWalk the opposite direction from the station, there is a few local restaurants and delis (including Halal options). We felt safe. I would have felt safe even without my sons. Great choice!
The flat is very modern and was spotless when we checked in. It's very convenient to the tube (Bromley-by-Bow station) which takes you right downtown to all the touristy sites via the District Line. Fun little neighborhood. There's a Sainsburys within easy walking distance if you want to pick up food or other sundries. If you are a light sleeper, the flat is right across from a school, so there is a bit of noise starting mid-morning. Just choose one of the bedrooms away from the front door and you should be fine. Beds are on the side, plenty of linens and very well lit. I would highly recommend.

Description as luxury flat misleading
The internal flat was modern and comfortable but it had no privacy unless the blinds were down in each room. It was part of a housing estate block of flats with the front & one bedroom facing directly onto a lane way. The living room & 2 bedrooms opened directly onto a shared area abutting public sports courts and were very exposed and at times noisy. Close to public transport but nothing much else within walking distance.
