Thanks Regina! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our home. I just wish that you had let us know about light bulbs or a dripping faucet as we are local and would have come over to resolve right away. With regards to hearing people talking outside the house, we will need to investigate. We lived in the house for over a year and never noticed an issue and no one has mentioned and anything similar previously … but we will check it out. Since it was Labor Day Weekend, it is literally the busiest weekend of the year so perhaps there was just a lot of people on our normally rather calm street! However, we take guest feedback very seriously, and we were surprised and saddened by your review, especially since we’re nearby and always available to assist our guests. If you had contacted us during your stay, we would have gladly addressed your concerns. Labor Day Weekend is indeed one of the busiest times for parking in town. Fortunately, we have two parking spaces at the property and offer additional parking permits at no cost. If you had let us know you were having trouble finding parking, we could have directed you to a nearby area with ample parking, just a short 5-minute walk from the house. I apologize that you did not read our listing, which clearly states that guests must bring or rent linens. Given a shortage of commercial laundry services in the local area, many rentals in Rehoboth face challenges with laundry during the busy summer season. If this were a concern for you, you should have let us know and we would have been happy to help find a solution. As we state in our listing, the “sleeping closet” is designed for children, and many guests find that their kids love it—some even affectionately refer to it as “the cave.” As for the trundle bed, no one has encountered issues with it before, and if you had asked, we would have been more than willing to show you how to open it while still being able to close the door. I’m also unclear about the “rule book” you mentioned. We provide a welcome packet with information about the house, dining options, and local activities. This packet includes basic guidelines, such as refraining from smoking and excessive late-night noise, all of which is also detailed in the “Rules & Policies” section of our VRBO listing. While we’re glad you enjoyed your stay, we’re truly sorry it didn’t fully meet your expectations. Thank you for your review and so glad you enjoyed your stay Angela! And so sorry to hear about your allergies. We have owned the home for over 6 years and there most definitely have never been any cats in the house since we owned it as Ryan is also allergic. Moreover, we just replaced all the carpeting and flooring in the home earlier this year so not quite sure what might have set your allergies off! We will do a deep clean in January to eliminate any potential allergens. Thanks again for staying with us and we hope to host you again in the future!
