Luxury 5* Devon Cottage surrounded by beautiful views

Redyeates Farm is the perfect place for family holidays or couples that want to get away from it all in a luxurious, peaceful setting with a great variety of things to do either at the farm or on days out. Previously the Devon Wine School, Redyeates Farm has total peace and quiet based around a 17th century farmhouse with no near neighbours and lots of rolling Devon country-side. If you like the sound of nothing (or maybe a woodpecker or two!) and the sight of circling buzzards, with real dark skies at night to properly see the stars, then you cant go far wrong here.

We have superb 5 star accommodation with something for everyone and fine countryside views on your doorstep. If you want to play tennis on our all-weather court, play football with the kids or read the papers while the children roam the acres of gardens, playing on the climbing frame and swings, jumping on our safer spring-free trampoline, playing basketball or simply playing table tennis, we have a lot to do for all.

For those that need it we also have a professional wifi installation which means that the broadband signal is beamed throughout the cottage and also the grounds.

The perfect getaway

We all had an amazing time and would love to return again. Beautiful surroundings, luxurious accommodation and lovely hosts. We couldn’t have asked for more. The complimentary scones were delicious. Plenty of activities to keep everyone busy and active. The weather wasn’t perfect but we still had a lovely time.

Beautiful property in immaculate condition.

A really lovely property which was perfect for our family group of 8 adults and 7 children. A beautiful part of the world, but quite isolated and difficult to walk or cycle from the property. Morley and Lorraine are great hosts, very friendly and brought round an unexpected fabulous pavlova! Highly recommended.

Staycation

What an absolute pleasure it was to stay at Redyeates. Both Morley and Lorraine were fabulous hosts. On arrival yhe property was clean, well presented and welcoming. There was more than enough space for our group of 12 to keep us entertained. We could not have asked for anything more and we will be booking again.

Great venue for a family or group gathering. The pictures don’t do the property justice.

Lovely spacious property set in beautiful grounds. The barn worked well for those of us with kids whilst the grandparents enjoyed staying in the dairy. The grounds with the play area, trampoline and football pitch are great for keeping kids entertained. Everything beautifully kept. Highly recommend for family or grounds of friends.

Family get together

Both cottages very clean and tidy. Main cottage is not suitable for babies that are crawling because of the different levels. But we still had a great time as plenty of us to keep an eye on them.

Hi Claire. Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I must admit I was very surprised to see your thoughts about babies here, especially as you said everything was perfect when you left. We did ask if you wanted stair-gates set up for when you arrived which you declined. We specifically cater for families with children/babies here and everyone has always said how great it was and safe for the kids. Perfect family home

Very nice homely and clean property with lovely scenery. Louise was very friendly and helpful. All 16 of us enjoyed the our stay, would definitely go back again but this in the summer.

Amazing!

We rented both the barn and the dairy and they are both perfect. Our group of 11 included 2 children - who absolutely loved the selection of toys in the house (secluded away so not on show if you were an adult group). All the bedrooms were very comfortable, we loved the sociable kitchen. Our favourite part of the property was the split level living/dining area. We opted to have the large dining table converted to a pool/snooker table which we all enjoyed - especially as we could all still chat with others in the lower lounge area. The weather wasn’t great (as you’d expect in November) so we couldn’t make the most of the lovely gardens, kids play area and tennis courts. To be honest we didn’t need any of that. We had a lovely weekend and would definitely return again in the future. Very friendly owners and we would highly recommend. Thanks for a great long weekend!

Fantastic family retreat

Great location to explore Devon from. Perfect layout and space for our 3 families to connect for a week. Enough space to spread out and relax. Great facilities and things for kids to play with. Handy mini shop on sight for anything we might have forgot. Would definitely visit again.

High quality home from home

We have stayed as a group of 10 for a number of years as it is hard to find a holiday home that ticks all our boxes, including our own en-suites or private bathroom. Firstly it’s in a brilliant location and Louise and Gary keep the house and grounds immaculately. The house and grounds are set in the midst of the most beautiful countryside in easy (15 minute) walk to the village that has an excellent pub. The location is great for visiting wonderful National Trust properties. We simply have to say if you are looking for a property for a family occasion this is hard to beat.

Great Property, Great Location, Great Weekend!!

From first booking to saying good bye, all aspects of my booking and stay were perfect. The communication with the owners prior to my stay was fantastic, with offers to arrange the rooms to fit the number in my group to suggestions on things to do locally and what to book with there being a large number of us. The property was extremely clean and well maintained and there was plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses to go round a big group. The owners had even moved some of the glasses etc. from the smaller property, knowing that we would be mainly based in the larger house. We were greeted by Louise as soon as we turned up and given a tour of both properties. We were even offered a lift back from the Village the following day after our pub lunch as it is all up-hill (we opted to walk!!) Nothing was too much trouble, we were left alone to enjoy our weekend but Louise checked that we had everything we needed to complete our stay. This property is ideal for large groups, there is plenty of space, ample number of bathrooms to cater for everyone and the smaller property is close enough that you can interact with the large house, but as it it detached if someone wants to get away from the large group the noise does not travel. The garden is enormous and very well kept, with tennis courts, swing ball and plenty of outdoor seating if you just want to sit!! Would definitely recommend Redyeates and may even plan a return visit!

Spacious and well equipped property in lovely countryside

The property was perfect for our Xmas gathering of 11 people. The house and dairy provided en suite bathrooms for nearly everyone. The kitchens were well equipped to prepare and cook Xmas dinner and the living area was comfortable and spacious for everyone to gather to open Xmas presents. An additional and much appreciated touch was the Xmas tree and house decorations.

Beautiful place!

Stunning property with fantastic space in the main kitchen and dining area for entertaining and feeding big groups of people. Everyone had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend to friends and family! Great to be in the country side for a nice walk but also you are not too far from main supermarkets.

Spacious family retreat

We stayed at Redyeates for a week in 2016 and returned at the same time this year as we enjoyed it so much. Louise and Gary are the perfect hosts, welcoming on arrival, providing arrival packs of food, ensuring everything is as it should be and then discreetly leaving us to enjoy ourselves. We were a family group of eight adults and seven children and there is ample space for different activities, and quiet places to sit and read or just enjoy the beautiful gardens. The house and the dairy are well appointed, comfortably furnished and with good quality bed and bathroom linen. Everything was clean and well maintained and the information on the listing accurately reflected reality. We enjoyed exploring the area, visiting the nearby towns, National Trust properties and Exmouth beach.

Stunning property

This location was a perfect getaway from it all. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings making it an ideal place to relax and recharge our batteries! The cottage was very spacious with luxurious facilities. The owners were extremely hospitable and helpful and had plenty of recommendations for things to do in the local area. I would definitely recommend it as a romantic getaway or for a family break in a beautiful location. We'll be returning!

Great place, Beautiful location

We were large group of three families with children and rented both cottages. Everyone truly enjoyed the stay,as there is plenty of entertainment for all ages. Everything was beautiful inside and out, immaculately clean and superbly equipped, very comfortable and completely relaxing, definitely five stars! Unfortunately, we only stay 3 nights, not enough to make the most of all that has got to offer. Will try to comeback for longer!

Fantastic break definitely recommended

Fantastic break, 3rd visit and will definitely be going again, Accommodation has always been spotless and well maintained, Owners were very hospitable. Lots to do you plays tennis, table tennis, lovely pubs to visit were they you sample real ale before buy and great food.
