The Shepherdâs Hut was ideal. We could walk to Loddon easily along the river, it was very close but also super quiet and relaxing. In the evenings we sat outside hearing the birds, incl a cuckoo and watched the barn owl in the field behind. I know!! :)The cottage was really clean and comfortable with everything needed for a great stay. Paul & Sandra popped by and were so friendly and lovely. I wouldnât hesitate to recommend the Shepherds Hut to everyone.
Lovely converted barn in a great location to explore Norfolk
Very clean, comfy well furnished and in a great location. Excellent WIFI, comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen. Everything we could need was available. The lovely host Sandra checked in to make sure everything was satisfactory.
If you want somewhere clean tidy modern and situated very conveniently close to the broads then you will find it harder to beat. One suggestion - air con would definitely be a massive plus and ensure a peaceful sleep given rising temperatures moving forward. Otherwise 10/10.
Really enjoyed our stay at the shepherds hut, nice roomy place , very clean , loving the free range eggs and shortbread on arrival even a pint of milk for a cuppa tea x
Was very out of the way which was lovely , we found a path to the church on the last day but least we know where it is for next time! Lovely to walk across the fields and see the cows, goats, and even a lovely horse. Children loved the fact the place had wi~Fi so they were kept amused. Great tv too was great to watch it in the evening.
The kitchen had everything you needed to make a meal was super, lovely hot shower also.
I especially loved the cordless hoover.
Would for sure stay here again even received a visit from the owner asking my hubby if everything was ok in which it was perfect.
Hopefully see you next year
Elaine & Matt
The property was very well equipped and clean we enjoyed watching the owl in the field behind us
The only thing that spoilt it was the last day when we had new people move in next door with two dogs every time when someone walked by the dogs bark so we ended up not sitting in the garden because of them constantly barking and was very glad they hadnât been there all week with us
We had a relaxed break away with our dog, Claudia. Sandra an Paul were great, including lovely touches on arrival. The lane was a source of excitement for our dog; people watching!! Great for walking and seeing the boats on the river.
Lovely compact accommodation in a good location to explore this area of Norfolk. This was our second stay, having previously stayed the other side in the Lambs Creche and it was just as nice as we remembered.
Only point for improvement would be to update the pans in the kitchen. Appreciate that people may tend to go out to eat when on holiday, but we cooked each night and felt the need to buy a pan to use as the ones provided have all seen better days.
Lovely clean, cosy property with extra touches from Sandra and Paul, like eggs, shortbread etc.
We had a lovely time exploring the area by foot and car, well worth a visit to this very friendly place
Shepherds Hut is great, very quiet, lovely views, close to the river and a pleasant and easy 10 min walk into Loddon over the fields. We stayed for 3 nights while visiting family in the village and it was perfect. Great to have the owners pop round to check everything was ok.
Only improvement suggestion would be to renew the double mattress, otherwise everything was as expected and good quality
The house was very modern and had everything we needed for our stay. Paul and Sandra were very welcoming. We enjoyed our break and would recommend the house to friends.
A nice property in a peaceful location which is ideally located for the broads and the coast. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We would definitely return and recommend to others. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.
This really was a perfect rental. Everything you need is provided and more. Location is superb, if you take the lane opposite and go through the churchyard you can be in the village in 5 minutes. Would love to stay again. Thank you Paul and Sandra.
Great location and weather, we were surprised to see how close the river was and you could see boats passing by. It's a short walk to the shops and everyone was friendly. The house was very well equipped and it's clear that a lot of thought went into getting it ready! We met one of the owners who gave us a scale as we had forgotten ours, she was very friendly and cheerful. We would 100% recommend coming here!
Paul is a builder who converted the barn Paul and Sandra live in the farmhouse 5 minutes away and therefore always close if needed We have free range chickens so eggs are available at the farm And a spoiled Labrador named Bella
The barn was a former agricultural barn where sheep were born and raised this is an ideal location if you like walking or just sitting and relaxing in a very peaceful area It has views overlooking fields and the river Chet, the picnic area which also has holiday moored is only a five minute walk away. The center of Loddon with its array of shop including, pubs, hairdressers, chemist, dentist, Doctors various places to eat or just have a cup tea is only a 10 minute walk away past the historicâ Holy Trinityâ church.
We are on the Norfolk/Suffolk with easy access to the City of Norwich with its first class shopping malls and large open market. The market town of Beccles is close by with outdoor swimming pool, local train station with numerous shops and eating places. Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft are seaside towns only 30 minutes away, with Pleasure Beach and amusements. The popular town of Southwold with its Pier and harbour where you can buy fish freshly caught, take small boat ride to Walberswick or you can just relax on the sandy beaches is 40 minutes away. Southwold is also known for âAdnams Aleâ and the brewery is in the centre of Southwold with its own shop.
