Stunning barn conversion with pool in Southern France
Situated in the stunning Minervois wine region of southern France, the house offers stylish, high quality holiday accommodation. Offering four, double en-suite bedrooms that can easily accommodate 8-10 guests, a large well-equipped kitchen, dining room, living room and private unheated pool. Two bedrooms can be self contained from the rest of the house: one as a single room studio, and the other as a two-room Gite with it's own kitchen, dining and living space - ideal for those who prefer a little more privacy. Alternatively, the whole house can be opened up as one big shared space.
The kitchen is ideal for catering for the family, with a Samsung fridge/freezer and ice maker, microwave, oven and hob as well as all of the crockery and cookware you'll need. The dining room seats 8 people and has a log burner to keep things cosy in the winter. The cool tiled floor throughout helps keep things cooler (along with air conditioning units in every room) in the summer. Exposed beams and white walls gives the property a clean country style.
The house is nestled amongst the vineyards and offer incredible views as far as the eye can see, perfect for those who are looking for a peaceful escape or who want to explore the region by car, bike or on foot.
With fabulous views of the surrounding vineyards, villages and Mantagne Noire, Les Julianes offers space and tranquillity, yet is only a three minute drive from the busy village of Olonzac with its bars, restaurants and weekly market.
Les Julianes is ideally placed for visiting all that the region has to offer - 10 minutes from the historic village of Minerve with its Michelin star restaurant, 30 minutes from the breath-taking medieval city of Carcassonne and 40 minutes from Mediterranean beaches. There is plenty to do nearby - from a lake that's great for swimming, the Canal du Midi and its boat tours, as well as plenty of places to eat.
Whether it's wine-tasting, walking, cycling (you can borrow our bikes), exploring Cathar castles or simply relaxing, the area has something for everyone.
The property is easily reached by car from a number of airports:

Les Julianes is owned by husband and wife team Claire and Mark and their two teenage children. Having lived abroad for many years, the family is now resident back home in the UK. However, still with the travel bug they took the plunge and bought Les Julianes with the hope of splitting their time between the two countries. They fell in love with the region having visited on numerous holidays over the years. The couple get to indulge their love of local wine every time they visit - whether that's dropping in at a local vineyard for a tasting or simply choosing from the well stocked local supermarket or Cave.
Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
When Mark and Claire and their family are not using the property, it's available to rent for holiday makers. This makes it an ideal family holiday property with everything you'd expect. It sits in a unique but peaceful location (there are just two houses on the road) yet has access to lots of things to keep all ages amused and occupied.
There are great flight connections between the UK and France all year round and the house is equal distance between Toulouse and Montpellier airports (90 minutes) and just 45 minutes from Carcassonne airport, and 60 minutes from Bezier airport.
With close proximity to the Spanish border you can be in Barcelona in just a few hours by road.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
We fell in love with the space the house offered but also the location. We sit with a G&T and watch the sun set over the vineyards every evening in the summer, while the kids splash around in the pool.
Each morning when we open the shutters we're greeted with the most amazing views, lush green vines and quiet stillness.
