We wanted a secluded (yet close to town) home to celebrate and get reconnected from running an 18year business. The house is stunning and well thought out. There are places to enjoy nature, listen to the water, watch robins fly and bath, had to ask a pair of deer to not eat the trees in the yard, and loved the steam shower. The owners communicated regularly to make sure we were doing well. We would definitely rent again and can only tell everyone to come here if you are going to Durango.
I am a sculptor and my wife Susan, a painter, and together we've built our home, gardens and art studios nestled amongst boulders gazing up to the San Juan Mountains
It has adjacent access to the glorious trails in Animas Mountain Park. The beginning of the National Forest and Colorado Trail is a 1 mile drive or bike up the road. There are no other houses to be seen, except for the caretakers apartment over the garage.
