The Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west, is close by and provides information about the region's long mining history. On the Helford River, in a serene environment, is the National Seal Sanctuary, where watching seals frolic and eat provides hours of amusement. If you enjoy adrenaline-pumping thrills, Flambards theme park will keep you occupied all day long and also offers fantastic living history experiences. The harbour city of Falmouth is farther away, while Land's End is farther west. Helston is a fantastic vacation spot with lots of family-friendly attractions.
