We have stayed in this charming cottage for several years. We feel this is the best location in CapitolaâŠon the river, under the trestle with views of the ocean and the village. We love this place. There are two parking places which is a big plus, as well as a washer and dryer in the garage. Donât forget to book the classic taxi for a ride to the famous Shadowbrook restaurant up the hill.
Just was good . But the place even though itâs on the river walk it is in desperate need of up dating . The owner was responsive but the water heater was turned down . Cable was not working and the roof had a leak. We were credited a nights stay for the inconvenience.
Very beautiful views from patio. House small with a lot of character. The town of Capitola is fun, lots of shops, restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. Enjoyed our stay!
Convenient central location with valuable private reserved & covered parking spot. We enjoyed seeing passersby on the path that bisects all properties along the adjacent stream-backwater near the beach. Bed was comfortable. Manager was eager to make sure we had everything we needed. This was our second stay here.
What a perfect little cottage in a prime location. We loved being able to walk to downtown and the beach, sit by the river, BBQ on the deck, relax in the historic living space and, importantly, park 2 cars in the carport! Janet was a great communicator and we had everything we needed. At one point my sister looked around and said, "how did we manage to get this place?!" We've already booked another week next year.
We stayed at the cottage for one week. It's a quaint cottage right on the river. You can see the beach from the back deck. The cottage was neat and very comfortable for 2 people. It is located in a great spot and it's easy to walk to everything in the Village. It comes with a parking spot which is very nice, especially in the busy summer months. Would recommend and would stay there again.
This is our 4th time staying a week in the charming cottage. It has become our all-time favorite vacation spot. The view, the village, the shops, the railroad trestle and of course dinner at Shadowbrook! The cottage is quaint, with lots of history and the deck is outfitted with wicker rocking chairs , umbrellas and a table. A great place to watch the people walking by on their way to the beach.
Great property if you are a friendly soul
Convenient to the Village and beach
Lots of foot traffic past the property while on front deck or next to creek
Loved our stays at this cozy cottage!. Fabulous location & views of the beach, & river!
We have stayed in this cottage several times! The location is unbeatable...can walk to everything, love the views of the river path, river life, Stockton Bridge and the beach!
The cottage has all one would need...perfect with all and simple amenities. Good for a couple or for 3! We always look forward to returning!
Spent 9 nights in the cute cabin. Used the creek area lots and had BBQs. Canât wait for our next trip to the area. We will be booking for sure again. Great location for shopping and restaurants plus the beach is very close. It was very busy area during the Memorial Day weekend and week following.
Loved the quaint cabin on the river. There was always something happening on the river and we loved sitting our on the patio each night. The birds were so much fun to watch- herons, egrets and of course ducks and gulls.
We absolutely loved everything about this cottage! It's beautiful inside and out, with plenty of space to relax and chill out, either inside or out on the gorgeous riverside patio. The kitchen is well stocked and the bed is super comfortable. And the village of Capitola is just steps away. What more could anyone want?
Comfortable cottage for two. Loved covered parking, good WiFi, full kitchen & comfortable bed. Nice bathroom remodel, and handy washer/dryer. Watching holiday floats on adjacent waterway was an unexpected plus. Property manager, Janet Russel, responded quickly as we became familiar with property layout.
Very very nice cottage. Just right for two people.
Spent nine days in the cottage. Could use new frying pans. Currant pans could fry meat or hot dogs but not eggs. The TV was a little complicated Two remotes and difficult to locate channels. But over all. Great fun and very relaxing.
Creekside Cottage has been a jewel in Margaret and Rich's family for decades. They have cherished many moments here and live nearby. Please contact Janet Russell, manager, with any inquiries or concerns. Janet is a local realtor and property manager.
This waterview cottage has been a beloved part of family life for four generations. Family memories are created here ! One of the beautiful original 1920's windows may be enjoyed in the dining area. We hope you enjoy your stay whether alone or with those you love. It's a friendly, relaxing spot by the sea.
Single level, with a short stroll to dining, shops and the ocean. Toasty deck and private creek front yard with comfy furniture. Private bedroom and open living/dining area.
