Very beautiful views from patio. House small with a lot of character. The town of Capitola is fun, lots of shops, restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. Enjoyed our stay!
We stayed at the cottage for one week. It's a quaint cottage right on the river. You can see the beach from the back deck. The cottage was neat and very comfortable for 2 people. It is located in a great spot and it's easy to walk to everything in the Village. It comes with a parking spot which is very nice, especially in the busy summer months. Would recommend and would stay there again.
This is our 4th time staying a week in the charming cottage. It has become our all-time favorite vacation spot. The view, the village, the shops, the railroad trestle and of course dinner at Shadowbrook! The cottage is quaint, with lots of history and the deck is outfitted with wicker rocking chairs , umbrellas and a table. A great place to watch the people walking by on their way to the beach.
Very very nice cottage. Just right for two people.
Spent nine days in the cottage. Could use new frying pans. Currant pans could fry meat or hot dogs but not eggs. The TV was a little complicated Two remotes and difficult to locate channels. But over all. Great fun and very relaxing.
Great property if you are a friendly soul
Convenient to the Village and beach
Lots of foot traffic past the property while on front deck or next to creek
Comfortable cottage for two. Loved covered parking, good WiFi, full kitchen & comfortable bed. Nice bathroom remodel, and handy washer/dryer. Watching holiday floats on adjacent waterway was an unexpected plus. Property manager, Janet Russel, responded quickly as we became familiar with property layout.
Spent 9 nights in the cute cabin. Used the creek area lots and had BBQs. Canât wait for our next trip to the area. We will be booking for sure again. Great location for shopping and restaurants plus the beach is very close. It was very busy area during the Memorial Day weekend and week following.
We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful spot in Capitola. It is steps away from restaurants, shops, and the beach. The weather was just perfect and the view from the living room, or from the outdoor area, was so beautiful and relaxing. The house was nicely decorated and set up with everything we needed. The location was also the perfect jumping-off point for many adventures around Monterey Bay. Just wonderful.
Loved the quaint cabin on the river. There was always something happening on the river and we loved sitting our on the patio each night. The birds were so much fun to watch- herons, egrets and of course ducks and gulls.
We absolutely loved everything about this cottage! It's beautiful inside and out, with plenty of space to relax and chill out, either inside or out on the gorgeous riverside patio. The kitchen is well stocked and the bed is super comfortable. And the village of Capitola is just steps away. What more could anyone want?
So glad we could return and have a nice long stay at our favorite place in Capitola, The River to Sea bungalow is amazing on many levels itâs proximity to the village, the nice Soquel Creekside setting, and the access to numerous world class surf breaks. This year, because of the COVID-19 crisis we relocated there to work remotely and it was a much needed escape and provided a beautiful reprise from The City.
I loved this cabin! You couldnât ask for a better location. Beautiful view of the river and beach, right in the village with a fun neighborhood vibe. The cabin is perfectly stocked, very comfortable and clean. Janet was easy to do business work and very accommodating. Iâm a local and will definitely rent this cabin again. Very special.
Locations is tops! From the deck you can enjoy the Soquel Creek or in a distance the beach and ocean, plus itâs only a very short walk to town. Everything was fine, except owner needs to put a shade on the window by the table in the living room/eating area as this is also where the murphy bed is located. Highly recommend this cute one bedroom one bath historical home.
Its all so comfortable except the bathroom. The toilet is old and the shower is very small. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedroom iscomfortable. Love the murphy bed
We had a very comfortable time in this 1915 cottage. Sitting by the window seeing the rage of the creek during the rains were exiting.
Janet and the owner were very responsive when we had issues with the heater.
Thank you!
Clean, well-provisioned, perfectly located (5 min. walk to beach/shops). Parking included is a big plus. Owner and host both pleasant/helpful. Check-in botched due to travel plans of host. Consider it a one-off. Refund given to compensate.
My friend and I were so pleased with this adorable cottage right on the river and with a view of the ocean waves. The bedroom was roomy with comfy bed. The pull down murphy was spacious and very comfortable. Capitola village was bursting with charm and the residents were fun and friendly. Manager is wonderful! I highly recommend this property.
I highly
This is the third time we have stayed in this delightful cabin on the river. This quaint cottage brings back my days of visiting Capitola in the 60âs. Itâs right on the river, a few houses from the bridge. You can enjoy the river view, the ocean view with a touch of the colorful Venetian, and be steps away from the village. This is by far our favorite stay as we relax on the deck and interact with the passerbyâs as they trek to the beach. Of course we have to take the free antique taxi to Shadowbrook for a magical date at this famous restaurant. Be sure to take the funicular down to the restaurant for an extra treat.
The cottage has all the amenities that you need to make your own dinners as well as wifi and tv. And of course Capitola is close to Santa Cruz as well as many other attractions in this area. A gem of a place!!
Creekside Cottage has been a jewel in Margaret and Rich's family for decades. They have cherished many moments here and live nearby. Please contact Janet Russell, manager, with any inquiries or concerns. Janet is a local realtor and property manager.
This waterview cottage has been a beloved part of family life for four generations. Family memories are created here ! One of the beautiful original 1920's windows may be enjoyed in the dining area. We hope you enjoy your stay whether alone or with those you love. It's a friendly, relaxing spot by the sea.
Single level, with a short stroll to dining, shops and the ocean. Toasty deck and private creek front yard with comfy furniture. Private bedroom and open living/dining area.
