Le bloc Stable propose un hébergement confortable pour les couples recherchant une escapade de luxe, à un jet de pierre de belle Porlock Weir. Ce chalet dispose d'une chambre fabuleuse d'où vous admirez la vue magnifique sur la terrasse, jardin et Porlock Bay depuis le balcon de Juliette. Le lit king-size offre le confort supplémentaire d'une télévision - habilement caché dans le pied du lit, qui se élève à la simple pression d'un bouton! Une salle de bain moderne est situé à côté de la chambre à coucher et a une douche dans la baignoire et sèche-serviettes. En bas un salon et la cuisine ouverte offre un éventail de commodités modernes pour rendre votre séjour aussi confortable que possible. Il ya une table de salle à manger pour les repas, mais vous pouvez choisir de profiter des points de vue et manger en plein air pendant les mois d'été.

A perfect haven to get refreshed. The views from the bedroom were stunning and whenever we came ‘home’ we had the doors open to maximise the experience!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Stable Block. Stunning views of the coastline from the terrace and bedroom. Well appointed Luxury bedroom with quality bed and Juliette balcony was a stand out feature. The kitchen/ living area had Everything you needed. We liked the comfy reclining sofa. Finally the lovely enclosed garden and terrace was perfect for us and the security our dog.

Very cosy accommodation and well situated for coastal, moorland and woodland walks, as well as visiting delightful villages and towns. It's great to see an old building renovated to a well-ordered holiday home, perfect for a couple. Great place to relax. A lovely find. We took the advice of another reviewer and took folding chairs with us to sit and admire the view from the bedroom. In the summer, it must be lovely to sit with the folding doors open just watching the sea and the beach.

Wow. What a find! We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning to the Stables. I really enjoyed drinking my morning tea in bed watching the sea out the bedroom balcony doors! It was incredibly relaxing. The pub, cafe and beach are just a short walk down the hill (and all great). The coastal path runs along the beach at the bottom of the hill too and we walked in both directions which were really different to each other. We loved it! A lovely autumn coastal break and the Stables was perfect. We've already been recommending this place to friends and we will be coming back!

The view from the bedroom window over the sea is superb. You can see right across the water to Wales if the weather is clear. The gardens are lovely. The bed is very comfortable and coupled with the views, which can be seen from the bed makes it a lovely experience. The downside is that the vehicular access to the property is 'challenging' to say the least. The lane outside is very narrow and the gates are also narrow. I struggled to get my VW Golf in without hitting something and I know the other guests in the other property (who also had a Golf) had the same issue, so it's not just me. I don't know whether you would be able to get a bigger car in.

Very disappointing, lovely venue, but not comfortable, the sofa was uncomfortable your bottom disappeared into a hole and immediately hurt your back, could not use, had to sit on dining chairs all week which were so hard and very wobbly, need urgent attention, the duvet was so short on the bed, had to go 3ft down the bed to just get covered, mattress was not comfortable, the net curtains in the bedroom were yellow from staining. The heating could not be overridden so we we were really cold all week, only enough logs for one evening, the shower slider was very loose and the bath was taped because it had a crack the TV in the bed was useless, could not change the volume or channel no matter what you did, all very dated. overall its not about customers comfort. We came home early as we could not stand it a minute longer.

The harbour is the 'centre' of Porlock Weir, which is less than 1/4 mile from The Stable Block. There are two restaurants (The Cafe and Miller's at the Anchor), a pub (all three are dog-friendly) and a range of individual shops such as tea rooms, Exmoor Glass, etc.

The village of Porlock is approximately 1.5 miles from The Stable Block and boasts three pubs, two grocery shops, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, hardware shop, visitor centre and a range of independent restaurants, shops and tea rooms.

Many of the shops in Porlock Weir and Porlock are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops also reduce their opening hours out of season.

Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 7 miles from The Stable Block. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison's are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.
