BEWARE!!! AVOID THIS PROPERTY!

Rarely, if ever, do i write reviews of VBROS. We have stayed in VBROS over the last 15 years, and I have never been treated so rudely and unfairly. Shortly after checking out, the owner assessed an astronomical fee to said damages, that did not occur during our stay. Also, he apparently has camaras, in the apartment. There is no recourse, beyond leaving a review, so my parting words, are to AVOID this property.

Functional stay in Inverness

We arrived in Inverness in the middle of a long, complicated trip, so I missed that this is a third floor walk-up. But we appreciated that it is quite well located for exploring the city. The apartment is oddly laid out but functional. We appreciated that there was laundry. The dishwasher was broken with a note on it. The kitchen had nice appliances otherwise and some basic supplies. And I'm sensitive, so the strong air freshener had to be put in a cabinet, which revealed that the apartment retains odors from the restaurants below. And those restaurants dump bottles into metal bins below as well, so if you need the windows open as we did, it can be quite disturbing starting at 7am. Fortunately, the noise tended to stop by the time we went to bed at night, which was usually in the 11 o'clock hour. The double bed had a wobbly mattress that caved in the middle so my husband used the twin bed which was also not super high quality. The bedding was luxurious, however. And the shower worked well. The apartment is spacious for two people. It's nice that it's a top floor with no one above. And Allistair was communicative. Overall a decent stay.

Centrally located Apartment in Inverness

Great stay in this recently refurbished and centrally located apartment on the Ness River in Inverness. Wonderful accommodation. Planning our return!

Lovely Flat

Stairs were a bit daunting for a couple in their 80’s 42 from street to flat then more to second level to kitcn/ living room. Having said that it was a nice break from hotels and perfect location to walk all over town and along the river Ness.

Perfect Location!

Alistair's flat is crisp & pristine. Everything is there. It is also beautifully situated. I was aware of the staircase inside the flat; the number of stairs up to the flat surprised me. My bad. I assumed a lift. That said, I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Inverness City Centre

This was an amazing place to stay! The flat was clean and easy to find. We had no problems contacting the owner and getting answers to any questions. It was in an absolutely perfect location. Only about a 7-10 minute walk from anything in Inverness city centre, including the major bus stops, train station, shopping, and many bars/restaurants. It feels completely safe and there is a beautiful walk by the river right at the front door! I would definitely stay again!

Great Inverness VRBO

This property was perfect for visiting Inverness and the surrounding areas including Speyside, various distilleries and other places. Alistair was a wonderful host making everything so easy. There is a grocery store literally across the street and a launderette tow or three doors down. The apartment does have washer with clothes tree but I found it easier to pop over to launderette and dry my clothes there. Also centrally located and within.walking distance of many good restaurants.

Great location and space

We spent 3 nights here and found it to be clean, spacious, and conveniently located. We were also provided with a parking permit, which made getting in and out of the city much easier.

Location location location and clean

Excellent location and very clean property certainly a unique layout with the two levels, and this provides certain advantages such as privacy. There is at least one window view or more of the river, which is very peaceful. Many nice restaurants for a classy dinner or if you were in the mood for a classic pub you can literally see it through the window as well. but wait, there’s more, a grocery store is also a stones throw away. The main train and bus terminal is a short walk. Finally it’s a very clean well-maintained residence with a warm home feel.

Fantastic

Absolutely fantastic apartment. Very clean and well equipped with everything you need. Location is practically on the river and a few hundred yards into the City itself. Excellent restaurants and pubs nearby. Had a great meal at the restaurant situated next door to the apartment named Encore Une Fois. Highly recommend this apartment.

Great location + view

I was on a business trip with some spare time to enjoy Inverness. The location is great! I was concerned about parking as I had a rental car, not an issue, plenty of options. Tesco is just across the street and lots of dinner options. A very quiet and private space. Hope to return soon!

Modern apartment, great location

Loved the property, neighbourhood, proximity to city centre and amenities. However, the beds were soft, lumpy and uncomfortable. With different mattresses, this place would be 5 all the way.

Couldn’t recommend more highly

So easy to check in and out. Everything was brand new and super clean. Very high end. Was blown away by how nice the apartment was. Perfect location! Can see the River Ness from your living & kitchen window and is about a 5 min walk from where tour busses pick you up. Also under 10 min walk to train station. A Tesco is right across the street so easy to get food too. Also super close to the high street, pubs & food. I recommend music at Hootenanny if you stay. Only regret is not staying longer.

Nice Apartment, Central Location

We truly enjoyed our 5 night, mid-May stay at Alistair's place! Central location in Inverness, right by the river walking paths; very spacious and comfortable; very clean and well-supplied; and quiet! Convenient to restaurants and a grocery store right across the street. Also, a short walk from the train station. The apartment has an interesting layout--it's two floors, with 2 bedrooms downstairs and living space/kitchen upstairs. This really worked for privacy. Highly recommend this place!
