It also has five lochs, several of which are well-known for their sailing and fishing. Lochmaben also has some magnificent castle ruins and an 18-hole golf course, and the Annandale Way walking path crosses through the community. From here, you may explore the well-equipped town of Lockerbie, which also has a golf course. Dumfries, a market town seven miles distant, provides a fantastic day out with its gorgeous architecture, activities, and the picturesque River Nith passing through it.
