There’s also a handy cloakroom as well as a snug area. Upstairs on the first floor is the bright and spacious sitting room with French doors leading out onto the sunny balcony. One of the twin bedrooms is also on the first floor. Up on the second floor is a fabulous master double bedroom with an en-suite shower room as well as a lovely twin. There is also a family bathroom. This ‘go to’ resort on the English Riviera was a favourite hot spot of the Victorian era with grand regency crescents lined with townhouses. Today, Torquay has some good restaurants shops and cafes, and the vibrant waterfront with its marina and harbour is a must where you can stroll along the palm-lined promenade and visit the seafront gardens. Whether you’re a couple looking for a relaxing break or a family with children to entertain, there’s something for everyone. The model village at Babbacombe (2 miles) is delightful to walk around… feel like a giant as you carefully tread the tiny streets. Nearby Paignton Zoo (5.5 miles) is well regarded for its wildlife conservation efforts with an impressive collection of wildlife including a komodo dragon! Further afield, head inland and explore the Dartmoor National Park (16 miles) with its tors and myriad of walking trails.
