Waterside Cottage - sleeps 8 guests in 3 bedrooms

Waterside is one of 6 cottages within a large converted 1700s stable building set among beautiful scenery with ample farmland & woodland walks. Take advantage of the peace & quiet relaxing in our gardens, taking in the scenery. Or go exploring around our grounds, enjoy the duck pond & see the wonderful wildlife. Children will enjoy the games barn (open all year, wrap up in the winter) with a pool table, Air hockey. table tennis & toys to enjoy. There are swings & climbing frames around the grounds.
Located across the farm (a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk) at the north end is our outdoor heated swimming pool & Grass tennis court (open from May to the end of September). We operate a booking system for those that would like a private swim and there is also a free swim session where all guests can use the pool at the same time. On the opposite side of the farm there is our hard tennis court which is open all year round.

Wedding weekend

Everyone absolutely loved staying in this cottage, you'd thought of everything to make our weekend so special. We all had such a fantastic weekend and can't thank you enough. The pool, games room and fishing lake were an added bonus.

Cottage Stay Waterside

All of our family stayed in the Spixworth Cottages for our wedding which we had in the barns. My family who stayed in the waterside said it was very clean and tidy, set out well with everything you needed. A nice touch was added on arrival with all condiments for our stay.

Perfect

Absolutely perfect, the cottage was spacious, but cosy, and had everything in there you needed. The surroundings were stunning. We used the tennis courts on a couple of occasions, games room was ideal and only a short walk from the cottage. Highly recommend a stay here

Beautiful holiday week

We loved the cottage and the farm but especially the pool. We had the best weather and the freedom for the children was great. They could walk to the play barn and park and were safe. There were great views across the fields and lovely woodland walks. Loved the pool as was always warm and in a lovely sun trapped spot. Good value for money and nice places to visit nearby.

weekend break with extended family

Spixworth Hall Cottages is such a wonderful place, we have returned 3 times now. The grandkids especially love the games barn and the freedom we can give them in this location to go independently (they are aged 13, 12 and 8) but they also love to challenge us to a game of pool or air hockey (they always win of course!) This venue is ideal for visits to family in Norwich and the treat of going to 'Roys of Wroxham'! Highly recommend Spixworth Hall Cottages!

Lovely Stay

My family and I chose to stay here to celebrate my birthday, having previously enjoyed a wonderful experience in Gaffers Cottage for my uncle’s 50th. This time, we opted for a slightly smaller cottage, as our group was a bit more intimate. I wholeheartedly recommend this retreat to anyone; the owners, who have known my family for years, are truly kind and genuine people. The setting is breathtaking, and each cottage is beautifully appointed. We look forward to returning for future stays.

Two one-night stays

I stayed at Spixworth Hall cottages last year with my family. We had some a great time - it's in a very idyllic spot, the owners are super friendly and there are good facilities on site for families with kids. I needed somewhere to stay at short notice when I had a couple of weekends away in Norfolk so I contacted Kim to ask if they had any rooms, and she very kindly accommodated us. The cottage was spotless and comfortable. Don't hesitate to book this place.

A wonderful place for all ages

We had a wonderful time here. We actually rented both the granary and waterside as we had a big family gathering and needed to fit us all in, which they did with great comfort! the beds and sofas and everything was comfortable. Each kitchen had everything you would need for whipping up a culinary delight or even a BBQ! There were lovely touches like milk in the fridge and some yummy biscuits. Both Jack and Kim helped us when we needed something and checked in with us over the weekend as they where around about. The new games room is brilliant fun and as we had both young and old in our group the games rooms served as all well. All the facility’s are perfect for all those ages too, from dart boards to playgrounds and not too mention the epic swimming pool we would come here again and again!

Fabulous Family Weekend!

We booked both Waterside and Granary Cottages to celebrate a family birthday. It worked incredibly well for both adults and children (ages 17 - 7). The games barn and outdoor pool were a real bonus keeping everyone entertained. Enjoyable walks around the grounds too. Check in was straight forward. Comfortable beds and good quality bed linen. Well stocked kitchen utensils and pots/pans.

Review spixworth cottages

This is our third stay in spixworth cottages. They are allways clean , and comfortable. The play barn and swings are amazing, especially if it is raining ! Location is perfect for bewilderwood, norfolk alpacas, canoeing, tubing and many more activities. The owners are are very pleasant and allways available to help.

Peaceful seclusion

A fabulous location down a gated farm track to a beautifully appointed converted coach house. A perfect setting for relaxing amid the countryside and within easy distance of Oxnead Hall where we attended a wedding. Friendly hosts. Would highly recommend.

Family gethering

A beautiful cottage which was comfortable and well equipped. The staff were welcoming and friendly and very accommodating. It’s a great location for walks and is dog friendly.

Outstanding - a gem

Part of me doesn’t want to post a review because if everyone knew how lovely this place is we would never be able to book again! Idyllic, peaceful, comfortable cottage with everything we could need. The games room was a particular hit with the children! A warm, personal welcome was a nice touch and we enjoyed being able to wander around such lovely grounds/fields. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Excellent stay

Brilliant place to stay. Well off any roads on its own private drive so nice and quiet. Cottage was spacious and very comfortable with views of surrounding fields and the pond. Deer were in the fields in the evenings and lots of birds. Cottage has everything you need for your stay. We particularly like the walks on site through fields and woods. There is an excellent hard tennis court set in beautiful gardens and a small outdoor swimming pool also set in gardens in a peaceful location which we enjoyed on one of the last warm summer days. On a wet day there are indoor table tennis and snooker tables too. This was our third stay all in different cottages and won't be our last.

Lovely stay

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and Jack and Sheila were fantastic hosts, catering for all our needs and requests. The whole site, with the games room barn was great. We used the barn for line dancing which was ideal.
