Jasmine Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 2 guests in 1 bedroom

Jasmine cottage a charming cottage sleeping two. This cottage is perfect for those looking for a traditional cottage in a small village setting within a few minutes stroll of the lake and only 20 minute walk to Keswick centre. The property has a traditional and welcoming feel with original beams and a cast iron, log burning stove for snug evenings in.

The double fronted, end terrace cottage is situated in the centre of the village of Portinscale, just next to the village tearoom and just minutes from the local village pub and marinas.

On the ground floor you enter the property through the porch which offers space to hang jackets. The cosy beamed lounge has an Inglenook fireplace housing a wood burning stove, flat screen, smart TV., CD. docking station, wifi and dining area.

The kitchen is a modern galley style, well equipped with electric oven and electric hob, fridge, microwave and dishwaser.

Also on the ground floor there is a pretty sunroom, perfect to spend some time relaxing and enjoy a book or a glass of wine!

On the first floor there is a superb double bedroom with TV, DVD player, exposed cruick beam and ornamental cast iron fireplace with views to Walla Cragg and Ashness Fell.

The newly fitted bathroom has a shower over the bath, complete with vanity unit, hand basin and WC.

A new utility area/boot room with a washer, plenty coat hooks & a secure storage area for bikes etc.

The cottage also has an allocated car parking space to the front.

Jasmine Cottage

This is the second time we have stayed at Jasmine Cottage. It is cosy and comfortable with all that you might need for a March visit to the Lakes. The sunroom is a lovely extra space.

Perfect Cottage

Another fab week away with Keswick cottages. Jasmine is one of the best places we’ve stayed at with them and will continue to book ahead to find an available slot for it. It has everything you need and is so comfortable and perfect for Walter our whippet with a utility / conservatory to get dried off. The team are really helpful and friendly. I’d always recommend Keswick Cottages to any friends wishing to stay in the Lakes. Thanks again.

A lovely cosy cottage in a great location

We loved Jasmine Cottage! Cosy, comfortable and we loved the area. A tearoom next door and a great pub a 5 minute walk away and excellent hikes on the doorstop. It was perfect for us!

Hi Mary, Thank you for your review. Jasmine Cottage is perfectly located in the heart of Portinscale so everything is right on your doorstep. The short walk in to Keswick is along a flat footpath but there are also regular buses that run through the village. The Chalet tearoom next door serves excellent food and is well worth a visit! Wonderful break in Jasmine Cottage at Portinscale. This was our 2nd year here, and hopefully we'll be back soon. Keswick Cottages always communicate well, can't recommend enough.

Just right

Lovely cosy cottage. Perfect location with everything easily accessible with lots of walks for the dog from the door. Car didn't move from our allocated parking spot for the duration of our stay. Super comfy bed. Fully equipped kitchen. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Stunning! Perfect location!

We loved Jasmine cottage and didn’t want to leave! It’s close to everything we needed. Great location. We loved going to The Chalet cafe next door for breakfast or a drink and cake after a long walk, walking to the Lake, walking to Lingholmes walled garden and their amazing cafe. Close to the Alpacas! Lovely powerful shower and very comfortable bed- and I’m very fussy about shower’s and mattresses! Plenty of room in the cottage even though it’s only a one bedroom. Immaculately clean and decorated. Great sofa. Beautiful conservatory area. Great to have allocated parking space but a private garden is the only thing we missed. If only the was a small section fenced off by the back door! Nice to haves- It would be nice to have an ice cube tray, salt and pepper, and some cooking oil. We will definitely be back!

A cozy little cottage

Jasmine Cottage really is a lovely little cozy cottage in Portinscale near Keswick. This is the second time we have stayed here for Christmas. The cottage was beautifully presented with Christmas decorations and little welcoming treats. The kitchen is well kitted out. The large bedroom has a very comfortable bed with views to the hills in the distance. The living room is comfortable with a log burner perfect for winter evenings.

New Year Break

Great location, great facilities - we loved having lunch in the extension after a morning on the hill. Comfy bed, nice bathroom and really, really convenient for all of the facilities in Keswick.

fab little cottage

this is a fantastic cottage for two, all you need for a break away. location was excellent , we walked into Keswick for shopping and from the cottage to local pubs and cafes. We found all we needed within the cottage and it was comfortable and cosey.

Jasmine Cottage

Loved our stay at Jasmine Cottage in Portinscale!! The cottage is well appointed, we didn't need for anything. Great location, Keswick is only a short walk away, and well positioned for many local walks. Would love to book again in the near future.

Perfect three night stay.

The cottage is quirky with exposed wooden beams in the upstairs rooms. Suited us fine for a three night stay. Spotlessly clean and in a quiet location. The Chalet tea rooms does a very nice breakfast and is right next door. Keswick is an easy walk of about a mile.There is no village shop.

Great little Cottage

Great Little Cottage. Very Well set up. Oldie worldie, but with Modern features. Loved the back room, ideal for reading. Perfect size for 2 and your Dog Good location, 20 Min Stroll from Keswick. Nice Local Pub, Good food- 5 Min walk. Good base to Explore.

Fantastic stay

We booked a week at the start of September at Jasmine Cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage was spotless and had everything that we needed for a very comfortable stay. The location was great, only a 15min walk into Keswick, a tea room/restaurant near enough next door and a pub just a couple of mins up the road. A 20min walk in the other direction takes you along to the next village where there's another couple of pubs - we ate at the Royal Oak and the food was great and there was a lovely friendly atmosphere. Overall we couldn't fault either the cottage or the location - we would definitely recommend it and hope to return in the near future.

Hi Jo, Thank you for your review. Jasmine Cottage, in the lovely village of Portinscale is ideal for a holiday in the Lakes. There are plenty of walks you can do right from the front door including the walk round Derwentwater or a hike up Catbells. The tea room next to Jasmine Cottages serves lovely food and perfect for the mornings when you don't fancy making breakfast. Great Stay in Portinscale

Really enjoyed our stay in Jasmine Cottage. Very cosy throughout with contemporary bathroom,large bedroom,comfortable lounge and well equipped kitchen.Added bonus is a sun room ideal for a relaxing read. Well positioned in Portinscale village within walking distance of Keswick. Highly recommend.

Excellent week in the Lakes (again)!

Great cottage location. Very cosy and warm cottage. Well equipped. The entryway (outside) could do with some sand put done as it’s very slippy on the flagstone in freezing conditions. We are back in March! Enjoyed our stay very much.

Fabulous Cottage

Had one of the best weekends with Keswick Cottsges staying in Jasmine Cottage. It’s a small but perfectly equipped, cosy and warm dwelling. Was perfect for the wet days with the hosepipe in the garden and the utility for coats and boots. The fire is lovely and cosy and a nice modern bathroom. Ideal location. Will definitely book this one again. .

Lovely quirky cottage

A lovely quirky cottage in a fantastic location with the bonus of a car parking space. The cottage provided everything we required needed. We had our Westie with us he loved outside space but please note it is shared with the neighbour which we didn’t realise. We will definitely return.

Another excellent week at Jasmine Cottage. Great location for walking into Keswick - therefore no parking problems! Many other walks in vicinity too. Jasmine never disappoints - been coming to this cottage for years and years - lost count! Can heartily recommend.

Our second visit to Jasmine cottage ,we had a wonderful week & again this year brilliant weather, it’s clean & comfortable especially we love the little conservatory on the side for a drink in the evening , so convenient for a short walk to Keswick, Farmers Arms for good pub food & tea rooms next door & some beautiful walks , good parking right outside & bus stop just across the road , we will definitely return to this lovely cottage .
