A Perfect Stay In Bali

There was a total of seven of us and everyone had a wonderful stay. The villa and grounds are gorgeous, and the staff was perfect! I would recommend Villa Tau to everyone.

Book your entire stay at Villa Tau!

My husband and I stayed at the Villa Tau Aug 2023. We booked the villa for 3 days. The team that takes care of you in this villa is worth the stay alone! They were so kind and made delicious food. The villa itself is breathtaking, it has a beautiful view of the rice fields. All if the rooms are comfortable and quiet. We really needed a place to relax from work and villa Tau was perfect. Close to Ubud but far enough from the crowds. We had other bookings in Bali, but at the end of our trip we both said to each other, we should have stayed at villa Tau the entire time. I spent a lot of time doing yoga, relaxing, and taking pictures of the plants and flowers on the villas property. I highly recommend staying at villa Tau!!

We've always loved Bali and we’ve always been keen travellers so, time permitting, we try and spend as much time at our properties as we can with our family. But, because - tragically - life can't be one long holiday, we rent our properties out to guests as well! We endeavour to make our guests’ stay as memorable as possible - which our reviews attest to.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Ubud really is the cultural heartland of Bali and we love the arty, laid-back feeling of the whole area. Our guests love it too, so we decided to add another villa in Ubud to our portfolio.

When we originally saw Villa Tau it was bright orange with tasteless features. Yet the potential was huge – large open-plan spaces, a great location and a really solid build. In addition, it has all sorts of little extras that work beautifully in a villa rental. We were sold. We started our renovation and a month later Covid struck! Unable to get back to Bali for two years we completed a large part of the renovation on FaceTime. Luckily, it wasn’t our first rodeo with our architect/builder and he did an amazing job completing it as he did.

We’ve transformed the original villa to create a home with a modernish Balinese-colonial feel. As with all our properties, we have tried to give it charm and character combined with ease-of-use. We love to collect art and different pieces and we hope this is reflected in the villa.

Because the villa has such a fantastic flow for entertainment we thought we’d add a pool table – a first for us – and our guests have loved it!

Villa Tau is extremely well located - an easy 15 minute drive north of Ubud and situated in beautiful scenery, in a quiet location, with gorgeous rice field views - and close to all the tourist attractions people come to Bali to see.

It combines all the advantages of a holiday rental with the advantages of a small boutique hotel, that provides all the services you need to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Because we are not a self-catering villa, and with a full staff to take care of everything you may need, you can do what you are meant to do on holiday - relax and enjoy rather than cook and clean!
