Railway View is a converted Great Western Railway carriage for two, set in farm grounds at Norcote, five minutes' drive from Cirencester in the Cotswolds. It has a double bed, a kitchenette, a shower room, a Smart TV, Wi-Fi, an electric fire, private decking with views over the paddocks and free parking. Dogs are welcome. A peaceful and unusual base for a Cotswolds break for two.

The setting

The carriage stands on its own lawn in the grounds of a farmhouse, next to a paddock that is home to three donkeys. A lit path and a few steps lead up to the door.



Please note

The carriage is compact and best suited to two guests. It is peaceful but not completely private: other buildings and a driveway are nearby, and some road noise can be heard. It can get warm on hot summer days (a fan is provided).



Guest Access:

Self check-in with a lockbox between 4pm and 9pm. Check-out by 11am. Directions and the code are sent before arrival. Free parking on site.



The Neighborhood:

Norcote, on the edge of Cirencester in the Cotswolds. Cirencester town centre, with its market place, shops, cafés, restaurants, the Corinium Museum and Cirencester Park, is about five minutes by car. Bibury is around 15 minutes' drive, the Cotswold Water Park about 15 minutes, and Bourton-on-the-Water around half an hour.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended. Free parking on site. Cirencester is about five minutes' drive. The nearest station is Kemble, around 15 minutes by car, with trains to London Paddington, Swindon and Cheltenham.



Other Things to Note:

Three donkeys live in the paddock next to the carriage. You are welcome to say hello, but please do not feed them.



Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead outside: the garden is not enclosed, and there is a road, a pond and livestock nearby.



Check-in is between 4pm and 9pm and check-out is by 11am. The team is not available by phone after 9pm.



ID check and deposit: after booking, the lead guest completes a short ID check and deposit step with our partner SafeGuest. You choose either a Damage Deposit of £100 (your card is saved and nothing is taken up front; it can only be charged for a claim SafeGuest approves after check-out) or SafeGuest's No Deposit fee of £15 (a one-off fee paid to SafeGuest). If you can't use the photo ID check, message us and we'll arrange a short video call instead. Please don't send ID documents by email. Please note that check-in is available between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Our team is available 8am to 8pm, seven days a week, and helps with check-in until 9pm. Check-in closes at 9pm and there are no late check-ins. For a genuine emergency during your stay, use the emergency number in your check-in details at any time; after 9pm, leave a voicemail and it reaches our team straight away.
