Well appointed, bright one bedroom flat on the 3rd floor of a Victorian terrace house, just off Portobello Road. Beautifully presented with high quality furniture and wooden floors throughout. Open plan kitchen with fridge, gas stove, microwave and cooking essentials. Dining table with 4 chairs. Contemporary shower room with large walk in shower cubicle. A fantastic London home!
We had a great stay! The place is comfy and close to things and the bedroom is super quiet. Note that this is a fourth story walk up so thereâs a bit of a schlep with bags coming and going, but once youâre up there itâs delightful!
some street noise in the front room but quieter in the back, with charming views of rooftops, backyards and mews. lovely neighborhoods surrounding, and as stated, steps from Portobello shops and restaurants.
The property is in a great location that allows for ease of connecting to transports, and exploring Notting Hill, Kensington Palace, Royal Albert Hall, and Portobello Road market. There is a bakery on the first level that wakes you up to the smell of warm pastries making it a great start to the day.
Check in was fun. Excellent responses from Nicholas. Great space; bright and breezy with open windows. Has everything we needed. Really felt like we were experiencing Notting Hill as a London neighborhood. The Underground was very easy.
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in London. Right next to Portebello road and a mere 12 minute walk away from the nearest tube station. The flat itself was clean, comfortable, and well kept. An added bonus was its location right above a bakery and a record shop. I have nothing negative to say about my experience and would definitely stay here again. That being said, it is not for people who have trouble getting up stairs. Thanks again!
We enjoyed our stay at this property! Nicholas was very responsive and walked us through the check in process. He made sure we were able to access the property and had everything we needed. The flat was clean and quiet, and having a bakery on the first floor was a bonus. As mentioned in the listing, there are a number of stairs to get to the fourth floor unit but we were prepared going into it so it wasn't a problem. Location is safe and nice with easy access to Portobello Market and Notting Hill, but is about .5 mile walk from nearest tube. We enjoyed walking by bakeries in the morning on our way to the tube and would grab a different pastry each morning. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay and would recommend when traveling through London!
Thereâs just something a bit magical about waking up to the faint smell of fresh baking. Though the flat is two floors above the bakery, the delightful aromas make their way gently upstairs, offering incentive not only to get up, but also to step downstairs and grab one of those delectable treats! The flat itself is wonderfully comfortable, quiet, and a perfect escape from the bustle of the surrounding city. Its location in the very center of Notting Hill makes exploration quite easy, whether on foot or on the nearby tube. One extra note for the unaware: youâll need to turn on the hot water (for both the radiators and the faucets/shower) when you arrive. Itâs all quite simple, though. Altogether, though, this is a wonderful place to stay!
The apartmnent was well described by the photos and text.Everything was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Nicholas, the host, was very helpful and responded promptly to the only glitch- a defective router. We loved the fact that you could stay 30 m from portabello rd in such a quiet apt. As noted in another revview, three flights on narrow stairs must be navigated with bags, but only once. In case important, there was no automatic coffee maker.
This place has everything, from location to amenities. Yes, you have to walk up, but after a day out in the city, it is such a comfortable and cozy place to come back to. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Great communication with property manager, easy check in and out, and everything you need in the place.
This flat is a superb home from home in a lively and interesting area of London. quiet, yet steps away from Portobello Road Market, there is a plethora of restaurants, shops, pubs & bars, street food and stalls in the immediate area.
