Lakeside Suite - Two bed, Two bath Suite in Nelson
Right on the lake this lovely 2 bedroom recently renovated suite is less than a 10 minute walk from the beach. A short bike ride in to town, through beautiful lakeside park. A flat journey along the water which is rare for Nelson! Mountain biking trails are just a short ride away and the world class Wh2O ski resort is a 20min drive away. There is no private beach access but the public beach is just a short walk away. Perfect for accessing the water!
There is space for one vehicle on the drive and ample free parking directly opposite the property.
Two young boys live upstairs so please expect some noise and footsteps.
Pet-Friendly Stay: We love welcoming pets to our suite! To ensure a comfortable stay for everyone, we kindly ask that dogs be crated if left unattended and that all pets be taken off the property for bathroom breaks.
Let us know if youâre bringing a furry friendâweâre happy to host them too! Please add them to your booking as we do charge a $60 pet fee per stay
Although Nelson is out of the way, it is definitely worth the detour. We really enjoyed our VRBO, spent the day downtown walking about shopping and just enjoying the food and uniqueness .
A bit disappointed that the lakeside home didnt have a lakeside view. Also, the stairs down to the main living area are quite steep if you have difficulty with that. Nelson is a fun town to visit, so this worked for us.
Nelson was just as we had heard about.
The unit was perfect great location to explore the area. Close to an awesome bakery local walking trails, easy kayak launch beach, golf and shopping.
Sian was a very gracious host we would love to come back.
The house was beautiful & clean. It was a nice location & close to all amenities! The house was lakeside but guests donât have access to the lakefront which was fine but the outside area in the front just needed to have some privacy.
Enjoyed our stay, only complaint there were no facecloths and no tea towels for drying dishes. No access to the water from the rental unit which is mentioned in the ad!
We had a lovely stay with our two young boys at this well appointed, modern suite in a family home. We had access to the hostsâ lakefront dock, kayak and paddle board which our boys enjoyed very much. Excellent stay, thanks so much!
Excellent accommodations with a young family looking after us. Very accommodating the entire time. We spent Halloween, Remembrance Day, Christmas and New Years at the property. Decorations followed the holiday themes as the family adjusted the surroundings during our stay. Would highly recommend the suite and property owners to other potential guests. Hopefully we werenât too much of a handful as guests and managed to make some new friends during our stay. Be sure to ask Sian if the resident deer in the front yard is attending his AA meetingsâŠ.the holidays were difficult for him and he did unfortunately let the Christmas season get the better of him having fallen off the wagon several times in December.
It was perfect for staying close to Selkirk College as I was in town to visit my son with his Granny. Nice to have two bedrooms. The downside was that we brought e-bikes and were not allowed to store them inside the garage due to the owner's dog occupying it. Expensive bikes stayed out in the rain overnight with electronics getting wet. The owner was on site but never greeted us or offered a solution to the bike storage.
No cable TV. I did figure out from the notes left by the host how to 'cast to the TV' from my laptop but if you are not tech savvy or don't have another electronic device you would be out of luck. My mother in law gave up as it was not something an 88 year old who doesn't own a laptop could do.
It would be nice to have a bluetooth speaker or some way to play some music and also provide basic toiletries such as shampoo & soap or body wash. You will want to bring your own.
Otherwise it was a very nice stay, nicely appointed and roomy enough for a small family. We would stay there again.
