À propos de cet hébergement
The Loft , Angmering-On-Sea - a apartment that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms
The Loft is a contemporary two-bedroom apartment in Angmering-on-Sea, which is the coastal area of the peaceful village of East Preston. From your secure courtyard gate onto the lane, it is literally just a few paces to the beach, which is all year pet friendly. It is the perfect location for Windsurfing, Kitesurfing and Paddle Boarding or just sitting, relaxing and watching the action. The Loft is so close to the beach it is easy to carry all your beach toys or nip back for something you forgot. Of course it is also the ideal location to keep the children happy with large expanses of sand during lower tides; and a coffee and ice cream kiosk open during weekends and school holidays.
With two bedrooms this ground floor apartment can comfortably accommodate up to four people. The large living area has comfortable seating around the television and a dining area at the opposite end. When not out at one of several local restaurants or pubs, that are within a very short walking, you can easily self-cater in the well equipped kitchen. The kitchen includes, fridge, freezer, cooker, kettle, microwave, toaster and all the pots/ pans and utensils you will need.
There is a family bathroom with shower over the bath. There are two spacious bedrooms, a single room with a pull out trundle bed (5 foot trundle, suitable for a smaller person, please request if you would like the trundle bed made up) and a double bedroom; both bedrooms lead directly out to the Courtyard Garden; a lovely area to relax after a day at the beach.
This property has WIFI and one parking space.
For those who may like to stretch their legs then walk Eastwards along the Beach and join the Green-Sward along the beach front and stroll to the dog friendly Blue Bird Café at Ferring for breakfast; for a Rusty designer must see café with good food and great views then walk Westwards along the Beach and again join the Green-Sward leading to the stroll along Littlehampton promenade where you will find the award winning Café at East Beach, close the entrance of the river Arun.
The Historic and picturesque town of Arundel is only a short drive away; and with the quaint streets, Castle, Cathedral, Swanbourne Boating Lake, Arundel Wildfowl and Wetland Nature Reserve, walks in the Arundel Park followed by a lunch at the riverside Black Rabbit Pub, you will never be lost for a great day out. Also Amberley Chalk Pit Museum is not far from Arundel.
Should you choose to bring your Mountain Bikes, which can be secured in your rear Courtyard, it is an easy ride to Patching Woods in the Southdown National Park; from there many bridleways lead to the famous Southdowns Way. For example, Arundel, Burpham, Amberley Castle, Whiteways with its many green, blue and black biking trails (not marked – follow the locals!) and Pulborough Brooks Nature Reserve are all within easy biking for the more adventurous.
For those who wish to bike along the coast from The Loft, then Westwards to Bognor Regis and on to Pagham Harbour Nature Reserve would be a great day out. In the other direction, and usually with the wind behind you, then follow the Seafront Eastwards all the way to Brighton and return with your bikes on the train; always having checked beforehand the availability of bike friendly train services.
Angmering-on-Sea (East Preston) has excellent travel links to Worthing, Brighton, London, Chichester and Portsmouth.
Don't worry if biking is not your thing, as all of these attractions are an easy drive with easy parking and plenty of walks, most are dog friendly; we provide you an Ordinance Survey Explorer Map to borrow; which covers most of the local area.
For your evening entertainment The Loft is adjacent to the Seaview Pub and Restaurant; a few paces up the lane to the local village shops you will find the Tudor Tavern pub and The Clock House pub; both serving food. Also there is the Reema Indian restaurant and takeaway; the Panang Village Chinese restaurant and takeaway; Grub and Gumption and Sea Horse cafe's; as well as a Kebab takeaway and next door to that a Fish and Chip Shop. Some of those also provide out-door dining.
