COPPERBEECH, family friendly, with open fire in Stow-On-The-Wold
Copperbeech is a terraced townhouse resting in Broadway sleeping six people in three bedrooms.
Copperbeech is a striking Victorian townhouse situated within the historic market town of Stow-on-the-Wold and is the perfect haven to explore the breath-taking Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Well-complimented by its excellent contemporary features yet still retaining its early 1800s character, this property is the perfect home-from-home retreat for families or groups of friends. Entering the property, you will be welcomed by the elegant and comforting sitting room, which has a stunning brick hearth containing a woodburning stove and is the perfect room for relaxing with the fire crackling away, with a glass of your favourite drink. Moving through the property, the open-plan kitchen/diner is a bright and airy space, perfect for socialising with friends or family and cooking up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen, overlooking the manicured garden. Move over to the dining table and enjoy your meal with your party and arrange your itinerary for your exciting trip ahead. A convenient rear foyer is located just off the kitchen which is the perfect place to store your coats and muddy boots and wash off in the cloakroom. Accessed via the rear lobby, the lovely walled garden is the perfect place to soak up the summer sun—or enjoy the crisp air in winter. The garden features climbing roses, clematis interspersed with mature shrubs, and herbaceous flower borders, creating a classic Cotswold cottage atmosphere. When the weather allows, dine al fresco at the outdoor table beyond the lawn and enjoy the serenity. After muddy walks or cycles, you can enter the cottage via the garden, through a gate that opens to a secure, shared passageway which leads from the street.
Across the lawn is the charming stone garden room. Here you can simply unwind with a good book, sip a cup of tea or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful garden views. Alternatively, you can challenge friends or family to a lively game of table football, or discover a few garden games. With its flagstone floor it is also an ideal place to store a pushchair, or bicycle.
The garden room is a fantastic spot for both play and relaxation, making it a favourite for guests of all ages—rain or shine! Accessed by the staircase leading from the sitting room, which houses original photographs of the house and street from Victorian times, you will find yourself on the first-floor which houses two stunning bedrooms; a step leads into the master bedroom which houses an inviting king-size bed, en-suite shower room and boasts two lovely sash windows which overlook the street below and the second bedroom overlooking the garden contains twin beds and is stylishly decorated. Up steep wooden stairs and into the eaves of the property, you will find the third bedroom containing a welcoming king-size bed, wood flooring throughout and dual aspect quality with views towards the local pub. The small side window looks out onto sight of the pleasing countryside. The fresh and brightly-decorated bathroom is located on this floor, which houses an impressive freestanding bath; ideal for total tranquillity.

Town: The highest town in the Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold, originally an Iron Age Fort, epitomises olde worlde England. This ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly Farmers' market. The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, this is a traditional fair for people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted; Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. The vast market square boasts an ancient cross at one end and the village stocks at the other, surrounded by an elegant array of Cotswold stone townhouses, antique shops, tea rooms, traditional pubs, award-winning restaurants and its very own cricket museum. Many walks and cycle rides through the beautiful rolling countryside of the Cotswolds can be enjoyed from the centre of Stow, with the Macmillan Way, Heart of England Way, Gloucestershire and Monarch's Way all running close to the town. Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' as the River Windrush runs through the centre, lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is one of the most popular Cotswold villages. The Saxon market town of Moreton-in-Marsh and the quintessential English village of Broadway are all within easy reach and make a great day out. Cheltenham (20 miles away) is, architecturally, the most complete regency town in England. A spa town with an incredible range of shops, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and pubs, it is famous for its horse-racing festival in March, culminating in the Gold Cup steeplechase. At other times of year, it is host to literature, jazz, classical music, science and food and drink festivals. Oxford, the oldest university city in England and sometimes called 'The City of Dreaming Spires’ has an abundance of prestigious attractions, including the 38 colleges of the university (half of which date back before 1600), the oldest university teaching room, the Bodleian Library, Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers Museums, and Botanic Gardens. Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath, Worcester and the waterfront city of Gloucester are also within easy reach, making Stow-on-the-Wold an ideal base.
