Butterfly Barn - Large Essex Barn
Butterfly Barn is believed to date back to the 16th or early 17th-century, constructed with traditional oak beams it has high vaulted ceilings in the main living areas and is heavily beamed throughout. The barn was fully renovated in 2008 from a derelict outbuilding to a stunning family residence.
The barn is on three levels; From the entrance hall there are two large ensuite bedrooms, along with a utility room and separate toilet. Going up half a flight of stairs takes you to the large living and socialising areas, off of which you will find an additional double bedroom. Travelling up the last half flight of stairs takes you to a further two large ensuite bedrooms.
The living areas comprise of a magnificent fully equipped kitchen with a vaulted ceiling and AGA; leading through to another large stunning living room and dining room providing a wonderful space for socialising, with a fireplace and woodburner and doors leading out to the enclosed garden.
To the front of the property there is a block paved area for five to six vehicles.
The back garden is fully fenced, has access from the barn and via a pedestrian gate, providing a paved area, a decked area with the rest laid to lawn and is surrounded by mature trees and hedging.
The barn and its private garden are in the ownerâs grounds, which provides views to the front of an area of lawn with fruit trees and paddocks that are occupied by horses and a pony through the spring and summer months. The other views are of the barn garden and the surrounding beautiful Essex countryside.
